PSI-Controllers and Qualifiers improve assembly quality by enabling error proofing to prevent missed fasteners or incomplete fastening cycles. PSI-Q, Qc and C models interface with all types of pneumatic tools. Incomplete fastening cycles that are
identified and alarmed include:
Rehits of a pre-tightened fastener
Cross-thread of fasteners into mating threads
Slip-off (or cam out) of the socket or screwdriver bit from the
fastener head before fastening to final torque.
Short cycle (premature cycle abort) by the operator prior to
fastening to final torque.

PSI-C for Control ofTransducerized Pulse ToolsThe PSI-C enables closed loop transducer control of each fastening cycle. The Optional Data Transfer Unit (DTU) stores as many as 2800 rundowns and 8 parameter sets. One tool can tighten different torque values with the use of a socket tray, PLC or manually switching between as many as eight parameter sets.

2PULSE ANd IMPACT TOOLS
PSI-C Controllers and Transducer-Controlled Pulse Tools Enable High Torque Accuracy and Traceability of Results
PSI-CFor Closed-LoopTransducer Control Pulse Tools
PE Transducer-Controlled Pulse Tools
Stanley pulse and impact tools reduce the torque reaction allowing hand fastening without reaction devices for torque levels as high as 700 Nm on Pistol tools and 70 Nm on straight tools.
For transducer-controlled pulse tools, the PSI-C controller monitors the dynamic torque at the joint and stops the tool at the target torque level. A unique pressure control method reduces torque variability as compared to use with line pressure.
The PSI-Qc Qualifier enables tool shutoff with superior torque control that improves quality and reduces cycle time.
The PSI-Qc compares the fastening cycle to a stored optimal signature that stops the air supply to the tool at the cycle end point. Time is not wasted while the tool stalls in a traditional non-shutoff application.
The PSI-Qc can interface to plant systems for error proofing that prevents missed fasteners.
Pulse Tools with PSI Controllers/Qualifiers Minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Transducer-Controlled Pulse and Impact Tools
Patented non-contact electronic transducer for closed loop control and improved torque accuracy
Data Output for traceability - every fastening cycle date- and time-stamped for output through serial or optional EtherNET communication.
Virtually no torque reaction to the operator.
High-Intensity light surrounds the spindle and illuminates the work surface GREEN (OK) or RED (NOK) after each tightening cycle

Air Shutoff Tools Offer Robust Performance with Torque Capability from 1 to 2,000 NmStanley continues to supply simple and highly reliable air shutoff tools that have been an industry standard for over 40 years. These tools use only one moving part to shutoff the motor. A wide range of handles, mounting options, and output types can fit the job. Models include pistol, swivel pistol, lever and fixured motors. Mounting options include reaction bars, base mount brackets, flanges, and spring-loaded spindles. Output types include the industry-leading
portfolio of crowfoot, tubenut, hold-n-drive, and flush socket heads. Stanley also delivers custom configurations to address assembly challenges.
Adding a PSI-Q Qualifier enables fastening cycle monitoring that improves quality. The PSI-Q compares the fastening cycle to a stored optimal signature and gives an OK/NOK signal. The PSI-Q can interface to plant systems for error proofing that prevents missed fasteners.

Adjustable Clutch Shutoff Tools Improve Precision and Ergonomics with Torque Capability from 1.0 to 150 Nm
Clutch shutoff tools disengage the
motor from the drive spindle at
a torque level preset at the tool.
The fast clutch shutoff minimizes
operator effects and torque
level is not affected by supply
pressure variations. Ergonomic
improvements result from a fast
shutoff that lowers torque reaction
impulse. The low torque reaction
impulse makes clutch actuated
shutoff tools ideal for hand-held
applications.

4OUTPUT OPTIONSHundreds of output designs enable solutions that fit the processStanley manufactures a complete range of outputs to access all types of threaded fasteners. By controlling both the design of the tool and the output, Stanley can properly match components to gain optimal performance and long life. With over 40 years of experience in developing standard and special outputs, Stanley has the expertise to handle the most challenging fastening requirements.
STRAIGhTStraight and pistol handle tools fit applications with direct access to the fastener. Multiple spindle fixtured straight tools use retractable spindles to help engage the spindles on the job. Offset spindles enable assembly of tight bolt centers.
FLUSh ANGLEFlush angle tools can access vertical spaces 50% lower than standard angle tools.
CROwFOOTCrowfoot nutrunners have a range of sizes and torque levels to access fasteners in unique, hard to reach applications.
TUbENUTTubenut nutrunners have open sockets that enable the tool end to be put over a tube, hose, or other tubular connection to secure a fitting.
hOLd & dRIvEHold and drive tools simultaneously hold the bolt while the nut is tightened. A formed end on the bolt interfaces with a mating tang or bit to prevent bolt rotation.
ANGLEAngle tools can access fasteners in spaces not accessible to straight tools. Multiple spindle fixtured angle tools use retractable spindles to help engage the spindles on the job.
