INSTRUCTIONS for Cornell Notes:1) Divide your paper vertically with 1/3 rd on your left and 2/3rds on your right.









2) Enter the root/prefix that you are working with on your left along with a simple drawing that will remind you of the root’s/prefix’s meaning

3) On the right enter the word "concerning" and then the word from the other side of this paper that goes with the root.4) Then look up and enter two (2) words from the dictionary that use this root/prefix and the

definition that involves what it "concerns." 5) While looking up the meaning, find from which classical language the root is derived; indicate the language with an L. or a Gk.6) Then write a sentence of at least 10 words using one of the two words you looked up.7) Finally, put the word-count of the sentence in parentheses at the end of the sentence.









Below are examples of what the first two root/prefix entries and two examples (with definitions) will look like when done as Cornell notes:
