_abstractThis searching project results from the experimental and bibliographic investigation in terms of space. The occasion for the choice of the subject was given by the engrossment in reference with the existence of void spaces in the residential structure of the city. Its aim is to examine the potential rehabilitation of these voids in the process of city, both through drawing and citizens opinion. As a result, urban void could be part of the residential web and the function of the city and obtain an identity, maintaining its beneficial vacancy. In this way, expressions as urban void, bounds and expropriation are explicated and analyzed, while the way in which a connection among these expressions can lead to the fulfillment of the project aim is examined as well. The applications of the components which emerge from bibliographic investigation are examined through two chosen examples. Meanwhile, the construction and the results of a personal example which tries to highlight and confirm the outcomes in real space and time are examined. The main idea of this research places architecture as a delimitated function through specific bounds (tools) which leads to vital and progressive landscapes, where blank space maintaining its beneficial vacancy, is converted into an active component of the city and integrates into its function. At the same time current citizens think over the city they live in and try to approach it more essential way.

The void cannot be earmarked as nature reserve, succession habitat, recreational field, or any other such designate, because to name it is to claim it in some way. And what is potentially more socially liberating about the void is precisely the absence of recognition and the subsequent indifference toward it.
