“The LORD is in his Holy Temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.” (Hab 2:20)

Until 1969, the various Catholic lit-urgies were all of apostolic origin.

The Gregorian Latin liturgy, cele-brated in this church, follows the tradition of Saint Peter, the first Pope, and has never undergone any essential change till the present time.

Every gesture, every word has been weighed and measured with the as-sistance of the Holy Ghost for the greater glory of God and the salva-tion of souls.

We thank you for coming. Whether you are just visiting us for a brief time, looking for a spiritual home, are returning to the practice of Catholic faith or are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church; we are happy to have you here, as you are. Please take time to read this bulle-tin, to meet with the priest after Mass and to socialize. Enter the Holy Temple of the Good Lord to worship Him. Pax vobis! Peace be with you!

“Let the charity of the brotherhood abide in you and hospitality do not for-get; for by this some, being not aware of it, have entertained angels” .

“Wherefore receive one another, as Christ also hath received you unto the honor of God” .

To receive Holy Communion: - You must be a baptized Catholic, hav-ing made a good confession since the last committed mortal sin - if any - in order to hopefully be in the state of Grace. - You must believe in the doctrine of Transubstantiation. “For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself” (1 Cor. 11:29). - You must observe one hour of Eucha-ristic fast (except water and medicine. Howev-er, we advise to abstain from food and alcohol for three hours and one hour for other liquid before Holy Communion). - One must not be a public sinner (public adulterer, concubine, public homosexual), or ex-communicated, or interdicted. - The most important requirement is to have a great desire to receive the Body,

the Blood, the Soul and the Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. You can humbly approach the Commun-ion rail at any time after the Communion of the priest. Then, open your mouth wide and extend smoothly and horizontally your tongue. There is no special order, so that nobody should feel compelled to follow a general movement. Do not judge your neighbor who abstains from receiving Holy Communion, as there is no obligation to receive it daily. Howev-er, “Live in a manner to be able to receive com-munion every day!” (St. Augustine) In this Church, the faculty to absolve sins is directly granted to the priests by the Holy Father.

Out of respect for Our Lord Jesus Christ and for the edification of our neighbor, we beg all to appear in Church decent in deportment and modest in dress. However, no one has the right to question others, especially visitors. It belongs to the parish priest alone to instruct the laity when they repeatedly dress or deport be-low expectation. For gentlemen and lads: Neither shorts,

T-shirts nor sneakers meet the norms of modesty. For ladies and girls: Neither shorts, slacks, sleeveless, short nor low-cut dress-es meet the norms of modesty. Furthermore, according to apostolic cus-tom or Church law, gentlemen are bare-headed in church; and ladies are requested to cover their heads.

Thank you for your charity.

St. Ambrose: Concerning Repentance, BOOK I, CHAPTER XII

Another passage of St. John is considered. The necessity of keeping the commandments of God may be complied with by those who, having fallen, repent, as well as by those who have not fallen, as is shown in the case of David. 53. Let us consider another similar passage: “He that believes in the Son has eternal life, but he that believes not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36 That which abides has certainly had a commencement, and that from some offense, viz., that first he not believe. When, then, any one believes, the wrath of God departs and life comes. To believe, then, in Christ is to gain life, for “he that believes in Him is not judged.” John 3:18 54. But with reference to this passage they allege that he who believes in Christ ought to keep His sayings, and say that it is written in the Lord's own words: “I have come a light into this world, that whosoever believes in Me may not abide in darkness. And if any man hear My word and keep it, I judge him not.” He judges not, and do you judge? He says, “that whosoever believesin Me may not abide in darkness,” that is, that if he be in darkness he may not remain therein, but may amend his error, correct his fault, and keep My commandments, for I have said, “I will not the death of the wicked, but the correction.” Ezekiel 23:11 I said above that he that believes in Me is not judged, and I keep to this: “For I am not come to judge the world, but that the world may be saved through Me.” John 3:17 I pardon willingly, I quickly forgive, “I will have mercy rather than sacrifice,” Hosea 6:6 because by sacrifice the just is rendered more acceptable, by mercy the sinner is redeemed. “I come not to call the right-eous but sinners.” Matthew 9:13 Sacrifice was under the Law, in the Gospel is mercy. “The Law was given by Moses, grace by Me.” John 1:17

55. And again further on He says: “He that despises Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him.” John 12:48 Does he seem to you to have received Christ's words who has not corrected himself? Undoubt-edly not. He, then, who corrects himself receives His word, for this is His word, that every one should turn back from sin. So, then, of necessity you must either reject this saying of His, or if you cannot deny it you must accept it.

56. It is also necessary that he who leaves off sinning must keep the commandments of God and renounce his sins. We ought not, then, to interpret this saying of him who has always kept the commandments, for if this had been His meaning He would have added the word always, but by not adding it He shows that He was speaking of him who has kept what he has heard, and what he heard has led him to correct his faults; he has then kept what he has heard.
