Having been graduated for 6 years, I still remember the days in
Pooi To where I grew not only physically but also spiritually. Pooi
To is always a place offering intensive development programmes for
us with diverse potentials. It is only in Pooi to, that I found my
own strengths and talents. Therefore, I am in great honor and
pleasure to get involved in the making of the school magazine.
During my days in Pooi To, teachers had already been encouraging
us to participate in various sports. It is very lucky for me to
find my interested sport activity--Squash.
Squash has accompanied me for nearly a decade. With the support
of my family and the school, I started playing squash when I was
seven. I fell in love with this sport very quickly because it is a
sport that challenges my skills and also my mind. Playing squash
makes me more mature than others students in the same age and
trains up my patience. Up till now, squash is still my favorite
sport. Playing squash is just like a habit that I believed I will
continue to play in the coming few years.
Recently, I have some satisfying achievements in squash. I have
won the Inter-School Girls A grade Individuals title, Hong Kong
Junior Open GU19 title and also the Hong Kong Junior Closed GU19
title. Moreover, in the 2009 World Junior Womens Championship held
in India, I was one of the members of the Hong Kong Squash Team
that captured the team silver medal!
From my point of view, the key to success is self-discipline.
Believe me or not, it is only yourself that can make the impossible
possible. No one can force you in working towards your goal. Do not
escape when failures come, face it and push even harder. Winning is
not everything, you learn more when you lost.
So dear brothers and sisters, get yourself prepared and give the
