100 YEARS OF PLANT PROTECTIO

On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committee I would like to cordially invite you
to attend the 58th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – NRI that will be held for the first time at the
REMES & SPA hotel complex in Opalenica. The theme of this year’s annual meeting is "100th Anniversary of Plant
Protection in Poland" and the official opening will take place on 7th February 2018 at 10.00 AM.
The aim of the 58th Scientific Session is to summarize the knowledge about plant protection, to present the results of
research conducted in various scientific centers, to describe the latest discoveries and achievements in Polish science
and agricultural practices, and to create and establish new tasks and challenges in the area of plant protection, food
safety, protection of animals, environment and human beings. The Session is also an opportunity
to discuss legislative regulations and organizational solutions for plant protection.
I am pleased to invite postdoctoral researchers and Ph.D. students to participate in the FORUM OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS
that will be organized for the first time and will take place on 6th February. I strongly encourage young scientists to
present their research and doctoral dissertations. The best presentations will be honored with awards and distinctions.
The most interesting works presented in the plenary and poster sessions will be published
in the Journal of Plant Protection Research or the Progress in Plant Protection.
I encourage all scientists, PhD students, representatives of Agricultural Advisory Centers, officials of state administration
and experts representing various areas and specialties
in all aspects of plant health reflecting the theme of the Session to participate
in the 58th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – NRI.
