    Introduction

    This is an adaptation of the Birthright character rules to the 5thedition of the Dungeons Dragons game. This is onl! one ofse"eral such adaptations being #or$ed on% chec$ out Birthright.netfor other con"ersions. &ot e"er!one is going to agree #ith m!choices, and that's o$a!.

    The philosoph! behind this con"ersion is to be broadl!accepting #hen it comes to classes, but more limited #henallo#ing races. (t's easier for me to imagine #arloc$s bartering fordar$ po#er from the )old *ider and mon$s ruling la# holdings

    than it is to picture dragonborn and tieflings in )erilia.Bloodlines are done b! choosing a feat and selecting bloodlinepo#ers from the list of abilities associated #ith that feat.

    Classes in Cerilia&earl! all standard 5th edition DD classes can be pla!ed

    #ithout modification in a Birthright campaign, #ith e>ceptionssho#n belo#.

    The true magic trait is reuired for #i=ards and eldritch $nights%el"es and halfel"es get this as a racial treat, and other races gain itb! choosing the "ariant scion races.

    Anli$e 2nd edition 6DD, this con"ersion does not imposeclass restrictions based on race. (f !ou #ant to be a halflingmagician, d#arf paladin, or elf barbarian, !ou're more than#elcome to do so but also $eep in mind that some cultures simpl! don't ha"e a cultural tradition of certain classes and ma! ha"e toloo$ outside of their culture for training. /or e>ample, an elf cleric#ould need to see$ out a human -or d#ar"en cleric and most li$el!follo# a human god as there are no el"en gods.
