KCUR's Julie Denesha called Johnny Hamil,
KC Bass Wo r k s h o p founder and director,
“a one-man evangelist for the deep sounds
of the double-bass.” She also noted, as the

able to bring in

musicians such
as the legendary
François Rabbath,
Mark Dresser,
D r. Hans Sturm,
D r. Jessica Va l l s ,
L l oyd Goldstein,
and many more.
The KC Bass Wo r k s h o p o f f e r s
Masterclasses with Maestro Rabbath and all
faculty members with emphasis on Rabbath
Technique. Bass solo performances, small
and large bass ensemble performances rep-
resenting everything related to bass in the
Classical, Jazz and Alternative (Rock, Funk,
Blues, Polka, etc.) styles of music. This ye a r
there will be a great bluegrass element
added to the week, and teacher training
through Nebraska University for continuing
e d u c a t i o n .
