Hands on UX

In this UX Masterclass we’ll be actively taking attendees through a ‘discovery’ phase and actually create a “digital hUman eXperience” for carers/patients newly diagnosed with dementia. We’ll break into teams, unpack and collect individual knowledge, add it to collective pile and reduce it to the essentials. We’ll identify the problem to solve, personify the customer, select features for the MVP and then design the solution - together!

Bernard Schokman @uxBernard UX Strategist, BernardSchokman.com and UXMoshpit.com

Usability evaluations - involving real clinicians

This presentation will focus on getting real clinicians involved in usability evaluations. It will introduce concepts such as ‘representative clinician’, usability scenarios and scenario-based evaluation; think aloud protocols and usability principles as guides for assessing user interface prototypes and designs.

eheadspace is delivering tailored

mental health supports and treatments via 1:1 interactions to young people and families

across Australia. During 2016 our highly skilled

clinicians supported over 33,000 young people with over

90,000 occasions of service.

The service model clearly has significant

public appeal, however as long as we continue

to primarily deliver 1:1 treatments, our

challenges with addressing service demand will only

worsen.

The task ahead of us involves creatively addressing service

demand by broadening our digital services, whilst continuing to

deliver safe, accessible and effective youth

mental health treatment.

A key part of the session will involve reviewing what we consider treatment

can be and reflecting on what the new role of service providers

could be.
