Logon to CMC as user: 00, password: 00 and go to the Users and Groups panel.

00 is a member of the GP_train- 00and GP_train-allgroup. So which administrator definedpreferences does 00see in BI launch pad (e.g. which home tab)?

Note: The Preferences on the GP_train-allgroup have not been updated from the defaultsettings (default home tab)

    1. Logon to BI launch pad as user00. The display Home tab is Dashboard_swf1

As 00 is in 2 groups the system looks at the BI launch pad Preferences of both groups todetermine which preferences to use for00. The GP_train-allgroup does not have preferencesdefined and the GP_train- 00group does

The system will use the preferences of the group that has preferences defined.

    2. Logon to CMC with train-00 to set BI launch pad Preferences for the group GP_train-all.

    On the GP_train-all grou p, set the Home tab = serverStartup(acrobat), located in Folders>Public Folders> Training_Webinar_Folder

    --------------------------------

Logon to BI launch pad as user: 00, password = 00

First check that your own Preferences are using the default settings

Now that Preferences have been defined on both groups what preferences does 00see as amember of both groups?

    14. The preferences displayed are forGP_train-00group (Home tab = Dashboard_swf1)

When preferences have been defined for both groups that a user is a member of the systemdetermines the users preferences by the group with the lower ID. In this case the GP_train-00has the lower ID

Check the ID of each group in the CMC.
