Dear Golf friends,
On behalf of the Luxembourg Senior Golfers Association I have the privilege to invite and
welcome you to the 6 Nations Tournament 2016 hosted this year by the Golf Club Grand-
Ducal in Luxembourg.
The GC Grand-Ducal opened in 1936, the Par 71 course is embedded in the forests
surrounding the city, is relatively flat and has been remodeled in 2015. A lot of new
bunkers made their appearance, greens have been reshaped, the players who played the
course in former years will face a new challenge.
Sir Archibald, awaiting the next winner, presently has his residence in the club house of GC
Grand-Ducal on the window-ledge giving view on the pictorial terrace facing the green
number 9, a cosy place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of a golf tournament.
It will be a pleasure to meet all the old faces as well as the newcomers and to spend a
memorable time of high spirit and sports friendship.
Georges Kieffer
President of the Association des Seniors Golfeurs du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg

The ESGA recommendations for the conditions and length of course shall be respected.
TEAMS Each team consists of a minimum of eight and maximum of twelve members with an EGA exact handicap from 10.0 to and including 26.0 at the time of entry (June 15th 2016). COMPETITION FORMAT Individual Stableford is played with full handicap allowance on two consecutive days.
Each day the aggregate eight best scores count.
Play is from the men’s Standard yellow tees (maximum length =5.800 m for par 72).
If a team is incomplete, local substitutes may be entered. However the scores of these substitutes will not be counted in the end result of the incomplete team.
The final result is determined by the total result of the two days.
Groups will consist of three players on the first day and of four players on the second day with a shot gun start. Players of a group should all be from a different nation.
Starting will be at intervals of ten minutes.

SIX NATIONS TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE The Six Nations Tournament Committee consists of the presidents of the six participating golf associations or their Deputies. The chairman for a calendar year is the president of the organizing Nation for that year. He is responsible for the general regulations of the tournament, supervises the event and aims to encourage a good atmosphere throughout the competition.
COMPETITION COMMITTEE The Competition Committee is composed at least of the captain of the organizing Nation, who will be the Tournament Director, plus a referee and assistant(s). He will organize a Captain meeting on the day of practice round.
RESULTS The Challenge cup is awarded to the winning team and each member of this team receive a Souvenir.
In case of equal aggregate Stableford points of the eight best scores for two or more teams the best result of the second day counts.
In case the result is still undecided the outcome is decided by the aggregate scores of the best 7, 6, 5 etc. players.
In case play on one of the two days cannot be finished, the result of the remaining day will count.
The score of the first day will only count if all players have completed the round.
In case play cannot be finished on the second day, the result of the first nine holes of each player will be decisive; all payers have to have finished nine holes.
There is a prize for the players:
- with the best individual Stableford scores on the first day as well on the second day. In case of equal scores the best result of the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole decides.
- with the best aggregate scores for the two days, but no cumulative prize is accepted.
INCLEMENT WEATHER In case play has to be suspended (lightning, thunderstorm, greens or fairways inundated) the players may mark and lift the ball until play can be resumed. Players must not resume play until the committee has given clearance.
