The 2020-2021 Allocation Committee of the Graham Area United Way is now accept ing requests for funding from non -prof it agencies that serve the Graham Communit y. In accordance to the GAUW Constitution and By-Laws, your agency must meet the following guidelines: a) Must be in operation for a minimum of three (3) years, and can show longevity and prove involvement in our community. Your agency must meet the objective of this corporation and agree to operate in accordance with the constitution and BY-LAWS established pursuant thereto, upon approval of the Board of Directors of this Corporation if accepted your agency will become a cooperating organization of the Graham Area United Way for one (contract) year at a time. b) No Strictly r e l i g ious o r gan i za t ion serving a limited group shall be eligible as a cooperating organizational member. c) Organizations must be governed by a Board of Directors of representative Graham area citizens, have an annual audit, establish a competent lay budget commit tee and render reasonable significant and non-duplicating community health and welfare services. Any 501 (C) non -prof i t agency wishing to request funding should email the Graham Area United Way office at [email protected] to request the proper forms. To be considered the forms mus t be success fu l l y completed, emailed to the office and the original form signed along with one copy returned to the Graham Area United Way office at 512 Second Street, Suite #17, no later than noon on Friday, February 4, 2021.
