6 Word Memoir-- “For sale: baby shoes, never worn”
6 Word Memoirs Project n Editors challenged writers to pen their
own six-word memoirs. ✗ Most were a cross between haiku poetry and personal ads.
✗ Challenge extended to average people also.
✗ People told not to over-think. (It’s a memoir, not a fortune cookie.)

Forming Deeper Meaning n To make their stories more deep and
meaningful, people began adding images. ✗ stories seemed more real ✗ ensured message was getting across ✗ fun way to play with the words!

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT
n Create your own! – Only six words long—and include proper
and appropriate punctuation! – Include an image (use a photo, a Google
image, or draw it yourself!). – Put it on a Google Doc and share it with
[email protected] OR bring in a hard copy to class tomorrow.
