In addition to the construction of a vehicle-centered plaza that is not suitable for its purpose, the term "one of the nation's largest-class downtown squares" is not much to be used by actual citizens. Due to inefficient program placement, the plaza, where the function of the walkway is strongly revealed, has become a hiking course that needs to be continued rather than a space to stay. In fact, citizens tended to think of the park as a passage rather than a walk. And in the case of grass square, the behavior was different from the use of the park. The grass in the civic park is active in use, with citizens always walking past it and spreading their mats. However, the lawns in Songsanghyeon Square are often off limits. The roads and forms of historic value have disappeared or been left with only traces remaining, and they can be found to have a gap between the plaza design and the actual creation. And this is both very inefficient and unproductive. Under the present state, the role of the plaza will be supple- mented by improving the area of use of Songsanghy- eon Square, supplementing insufficient content, and re-positioning the program, and connecting the con- text of the old history to give the plaza the character of staying and a slow space for relaxation.
