Hi, I’m Dan. A passionate, jack of all trades graphic designer based in Sydney, Australia.

With just over 3 years of industry experience, I’ve spent most of my time working as an In-House Designer, whilst also freelancing on the side for local start-ups, friends and family to get the branding fix that I love and crave.

In my current role I’ve had the opportunity to learn how to get the most out a brand’s design system. Along the way, learning fundamental skills across lay-out and typography, motion-graphics, HTML, social-media management and much, much more.

Foti Brothers are a family run coffee and dessert cart that can be found at local weekend markets. As they are not always at the same location every week, they wanted to create a visual idenitity and experience that left a lasting impression on their customers, even if they do not see them again.

Bold and unique, this typeface allows the logo to flow naturally with the use of contrasted line widths. Sturdy and trustworthy, the colour palette allows the brand to feel a sense of trust and similarity whilst maintaining a new, clean edge. All of which are traits we see in the relationship between the Foti Brothers themselves.

The new design direction and tone-of-voice perfectly showcases the kind of business, but most of all, the kind of people that ‘Foti Brothers’ are. Friendly, down to Earth, and someone that is willing to get to know the customers, not just take their money. Making them the perfect destination for your daily coffee needs.

Marc Arcuri was a seemingly healthy 15-year old boy when he took the field back in 2014. During the match, Marc collapsed and suffered sudden cardiac illness. A nurse performed CPR on Marc during the 30 minutes they waited for the ambulance, but he could not be revived.

The Marc Arcuri Foundation is run by a volunteer committee made of Arcuri family members and friend, all united by a love of the beautiful game and a desire to keep footballers safe. The Marc Arcuri Cup is a day, not simply about fundraising for defibrillators, but to also raise awareness of sudden cardiac illness, celebrate the beautiful game and create some wonderful memories along the way.

I came on board this year to help with art-direction and create promotional material in the lead up to the cup. Overall, they had a record year, having more teams than ever join The Cup, as well as raising over $100,000.

When Whitecoat first created the Provider Portal it was a clunky, quick fix platform that gave users little control of their profiles.

Since upgrading The Portal, it now has a friendlier UX and UI that allows health practitioners to check on their business’ performance by viewing their key statistics, such as profile views, bookings and patient reviews from a mobile or desktop device. It also enables providers to easily sign up to Online Appointments and Whitecoat Practice Listings, to further increase their booking performance.

Practitioners are also offered special discounts from Whitecoat partners that benefit both their business and their patients, only through the Offers tab in the Provider Portal.

Adrienne Monteverde is a fashion designer that looks to cut through the stereotypes of the fashion world. Her new collection “New Era” is designed with the desire to give a new look and respect to modern day fashion, as generations change and classic traditions fade away the passion to keep the classic appreciation for quality, fit and meaning alive, is evident in all details of this collection. New Era runs these ideals through all its designs while adapting them to suit the rapid Australian commercial market and in contrast its relaxed outlook on functionality and wearability to suit the layedback culture in Australia.

In order to compliment the collection and label, I’ve created a brand identity that is clean cut and minimal. Often breaking up the logo to create the personification of cutting through the industry, as well as using thin and bold weights to further promote this theme.
