This project is to develop a hotel and entertainment precinct along the Hatea river on Whangarei city’s waterfront at the Town Basin.

The proposed precinct includes but is not limited to: a four-star+ hotel, a parking building, a marina and water transport terminal, apartment blocks, multiple retail and hospitality outlets, and large scale, multi-purpose conference and events centre.

Whangarei has historically lacked high quality accommodation options, limiting the District’s ability to maximise visitor stay and spend.Once completed, the precinct will host domestic and international events and visitors, establishing direct economic benefit for the Whangarei District.
