Artist Ranger Post No: LM73 22.2 hours (3 days) per week Fixed term contract (12 Months) Salary: £21,727 to £27,720 (pro rata) Are you an artist that excels at meeting people, making connections, and delivering the brilliantly unexpected? The Happening on the High Street project has created a unique opportunity for an artist to work across an eclectic variety of partners onsite at Ipswich Museum, in order to forge a programme of meaningful contemporary art events. Taking on the role of Artist Ranger you will work in Ipswich Museum and together with resident organisations, strengthening the Ipswich Arts and Museums partnership. Outcomes need to be truly innovative, of the highest quality, and meaningful to the general public. This role is suitable for an artist who is a true innovator and team player. The Artist Ranger will be the core of the Happening on High Street project team, which aims to affect real change to the gallery onsite at Ipswich Museum. You will co-ordinate arts activity, liaise with all partners and forge new connections for the artistic programme. The opportunity is a part-time position, enabling the successful candidate to continue their artistic practice and benefit from a programme of continuing professional development offered as part of this opportunity.
