Brother Leroy Gilmore

You‘ve heard of headhunters and bounty-

hunters, now meet the house hunter! If

you‘re in the market or considering buying

a home, Minister Sherman Dargins is your

man! Dargins is a Broker Agent/Realtor

with Realty Resources of the Carolinas.

Please don‘t be alarmed or even fooled by

the state of the economy. In a season such

as this, financial indexes all indicate that

this is certainly a Buyer‘s market. As a

matter of fact, one of Minister Dargin‘s

most recent clients, just closed and celebrated the pur-

chase of her new home!

You might wonder, what makes a good realtor? Well,

glad you asked! Here are a number of principles that

make a good realtor. First and foremost a good realtor

understands that your time is the most valuable com-

modity you have and keeps this in the forefront of his

efforts to utilize your time wisely. Most home-buyers

and even homeowners rarely know or understand every-

thing involved in the purchase or refinancing of a home.

A good realtor communicates with the buyer

on a level that is simple and easy to under-

stand about purchasing or refinancing a

home. A good realtor is not only concerned

about the commission at the end of the sale

but is ultimately aware of things that a new

home-owner might not have considered and

will do his or her best to share these matters

with the buyer. These are just some of the

top three qualities that any good realtor

should possess. To that end, you are sure to

find that Minister Dargins meets and far exceeds these

principles.

So, if you‘re in the market or considering purchasing a

home, need to know which direction to take, have ques-

tions about the financial process or just want to know:

―Where Do I Begin?‖ contact Sherman Dargins, Bro-

ker/Realtor.

Agent Dargins can be reached at 704-343-3377 or by

email [email protected].

Minister Sherman Dargins

On Sunday, June 26th

Pastor Winford Gal-

mon, one of the sons

of Greater Galilee

was installed as the

11th pastor of Mt.

Calvary Missionary

Baptist Church in

Goldsboro, NC. Pastor

Galmon is the son of Sister Cora Gal-

mon and the brother of Deaconess

Sherry Maxwell and Debbie Moore.

Pastors of the Goldsboro area and

members of the Bear Creek Associa-

tion came out to show their support

and to welcome another brother in

Christ as they led the Installation

Charges to the newly elected pastor

and to the church. The Greater Galilee

Church Family of Charlotte &

Winston-Salem were the special

guest. Pastor McGowens delivered

the Installation sermon ―Motivated by

Mercy‖. Deacon and Deaconess Rolle

presented a special gift to Pastor Gal-

mon on behalf of the Greater Galilee

family. We congratulate Pastor Gal-

mon on his new appointment and

wish him continued success as Pastor

of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. We

look forward to Mt. Calvary and Pas-

tor Galmon worshiping with us in De-

cember.

Becoming a pastor is

an invitation to very

important work and

is indeed a very

sacred calling. Just

as the vows of mat-

rimony advise that

it should not be en-

tered into it lightly, so

too must be the posture of one who is

called to the marriage of man and

church. The transition from minister

to pastor is a time when a minister

steps across a threshold from a sea-

son of preparation to a life of sancti-

fied leadership. That threshold is

filled with inevitabilities, moments

of sin and grace, but ultimately is a

privilege bestowed by God. It is a

time when one must don a mantle of

responsibility because the role of his

life is being assumed and a different

status or identity is conferred. Minis-

ter Shears has been bestowed that

great privilege. Minister Shears, soon

to be Pastor Shears has been elected

as the new pastor of Mt. Hopewell

Baptist Church, Sharon, SC. So as he

transitions into his position as pastor

we pray for continued coverage for

him, his wife Joy and their soon to be

new addition to their family.

Minister in Training

Bridgette McConnell

has been a member

of Greater Galilee

for a number years

where she has

s e rved a s a

Teacher, Trustee

and Servant Leader of

the Young Adult Minis-

try. She is widely known by her

bright and infectious smile. Sunday,

July 10th will host the commemora-

tive date and crowning moment as

Bridgette will preach her initial ser-

mon. Crowning moments are de-

fined as those events that change our

course forever. MIT McConnell‘s

life will change forever as she begins

life anew—again! Unlike those of

us who give our lives to Christ - a

minister‘s call goes far beyond a

walk down the aisle and a promise to

‗strive to do better.‘ A minister‘s life

is one of sacrifice and sanctification

a life dedicated not only to ‗striving

to do better,‘ but must, as James

(2:14) records, be a life of works as

well as faith. Congratulations to

MIT McConnell and we exalt God

for His divine providence in choos-

ing one of our own to carry out His

will.
