KPI knowledge cannot be achieved unless the signalling is understood in detail. Therefore, this course will also include the call flows, handover and many other signalling scenarios. Instead of digging into each parameter signalled with a message, this course emphasises on the effect of signalling messages on the performance management counters and KPIs. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: KPI knowledge is required to monitor the network performance at various stages of deployment. KPI monitoring is a never ending task of network operation and maintenance. Therefore, this training is best suited for the 3G network planners, optimisers and quality Control team. KPIs are also used in benchmarking. After going through this training, we will be able to validate whether the formulae defined by vendor and 3rd party tools are realistic or not. PREREQUISITES: General UMTS System knowledge is required. For background knowledge, the Apis course PS Domain Evolution and UMTS Air Interface is recommended. Knowledge of HSPA principles is also essential for this training. UMTS and HSPA RAN KPI – 3 days
