Ms. Jean Szkotnicki Ms Szkotnicki has been recommended as a member of this board, based on her academic background and work experience in the agricultural field. Ms. Szkotnicki has both a degree and post graduate degree in Agriculture. Her work experience includes several years as the Assistant Manager of the Ontario Cattlemen's Association and more recently as the Executive Director of the Canadian Animal Health Institute. Ms. Szkotnicki has been involved in various agriculturally related organizations.

Mr. Gerard Boulay Mr. Boulay is currently Co-ordinator of Educational Services at CEFCUT. He has organized many workshops in Southern Ontario for new history programs and has been a planner of history and contemporary studies and Editor, Classical Studies for grades 7 to 13.

Mr. James G. Head Mr. Head, of Scarborough, has been a Teacher in Scarborough for twenty-four years. He was Chair, Macdonald Commission, 1984 and 2nd Vice-President, Ontario Federation of Teachers (1991-92).

Mr. Fuerth, of Maidstone, is a professional engineer and Deputy Reeve of the Township of Sandwich South. He is employed as Supervisor of the Media Centre at the University of Windsor. Mr. Fuerth was a Municipal Member of the Essex County District Health Council.

Christine Griffin Nominated as Chair

Mrs. Christine Griffin Mrs. Griffin, of Markdale, is a staff member of Centre Grey General Hospital in Markdale. She has been a member of the Grey-Bruce District Health Council since June 1987. Mrs. Griffin has been active on several of Council's Committees and task groups, including the Current Needs Assessment for Children with Physical Disabilities, the Community Health Services Committee, the Long Term Care Committee and Mental Health Advisory Committee. Mrs. Griffin has served as Vice-Chair since June 1991 and is acting as Council's representative to the Association of District Health Councils of Ontario. Mrs. Griffin is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations; a former Secretary and Treasurer of the Grey­Bruce District Physiotherapy Association; and Past Member of the Women's Auxiliary at Centre Grey General Hospital in Markdale.

Mr. Gerald Scott Buss Mr. Buss, of Stirling, is a full-time Ambulance Officer in Belleville and part-time officer in Cobourg. Mr. Scott was a member of the steering committee which investigated 15 components of Comprehensive Emergency Health Service within two counties and made recommendations to the Minister of Health. He has been a member of the Stirling Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Rescue Auxiliary.

Mr. Lloyd Churchill Mr. Churchill, of Bancroft, has been a member of the municipal council for the Village of Bancroft for five years and has served on the Bancroft Hospital Board and the County Homes for the Aged Committee.

Dr. Norah D. Connell Dr. Connell, of Picton, is a family physician in Picton and on staff at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital in Picton. Dr. Connell is a member of the Ministry of Health Advisory Committee on Diabetes, Co-ordinator and a member of the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Dr. Bruce Coward Dr. Coward, of Trenton, is an Optometrist in private practice in Trenton and Brighton. Dr. Coward was the Director of the Ontario Association of Optometrists from 1988-90. Dr. Coward is president of the Trenton Lions Club, a member of the Canadian Foundation for World Development which offers services in volunteer eye-care projects in Third World countries (e.g. Mexico, Haiti) and has conducted vision and glaucoma screenings for seniors in local nursing homes.

Mrs. Grace Davis Mrs. Davis, of Trenton, is a retired Registered Nurse who has lived in a number of communities within Canada and in Germany.

Mr. W. Dever Mr. Dever, of Belleville, is a City Councillor for the City of Belleville and has been nominated as their representative.

Ms. Alison Greenaway-Coates Ms. Greenaway-Coates, of Picton, is an epidemiologist employed with Queen's University in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology. She is member of The Case Mix Research Group which translates the measurements of hospital and physician efficiency and effectiveness as these relate to outcomes. Ms. Greenaway-Coates is a member of the Parent and Teacher's Association and a beef cattle and sheep farmer.

Ms. Renita A. Heslinga Ms. Heslinga, of Belleville, is the Executive Director of the Hastings and Prince Edward Council on Ageing. Previously, she was employed at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in the Community Health Services Centre as a Kinesiologist. Ms. Heslinga was a member of the Volunteer Bureau Advisory Committee.

Ms. Joanne Cockerton Jenkins Ms. Jenkins, of Stirling, is the Executive Director for the Quinte United Immigrant Services (QUIS). QUIS is a non-profit, community-based organization which provides initial settlement assistance and ongoing support to immigrants in the Quinte area.

Ms. Erin Mccorkell Ms. Mccorkell, of Bancroft, is a Probation and Parole Officer with the Ministry of Correctional Services. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Maggie's Resource Centre of North Hastings and a member of the Advisory Board of North Hastings Counselling Centre. Ms. Bancroft was President of the Sault Ste. Marie Branch of the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Ms. Vera Morton Ms. Morton, of Belleville, is a retired Registered Nurse. She is a member of the Board of Council for Ageing and a member of Committee for Redirection of Health Care for Seniors. Ms. Morton was a member of the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties District Health Council Steering Committee.

Mr. Claude A. Robinson Mr. Robinson, of Bancroft, is Principal of the North Hastings Senior Elementary School. He is Chair of the North Hastings Children's Services Board and served as Vice Chair of the Hastings County Children's Aid Society. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties District Health Council Steering Committee.

Mr. William D. Small Mr. Small, of Picton, is a retired Banker and was nominated by the County of Prince Edward. He is a member of the Investment Committee of Queen' s University and has served as a member of the Board of Governors of Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Small has been Chair of the Legislation and Government Committee of the Canadian Bankers ' Association.

Ms. Mary Thomas Ms. Thomas, of Belleville, is a Broadcast-Journalist with Quinte Broadcasting Limited in Belleville, covering many of the boards and agencies in the community.

Mr. Sterling G. Warner Mr. Warner, of Tweed, worked as a Senior Contract Officer with the Public Service of Canada. He was a municipal councillor for the Township of Goulbourn and served as Chair of Finance and Administration Committee and the Recreation Committee for the Township. Mr. Warner was a member of the Hastings & Prince Edward Council on Ageing Steering Committee.

Ms. Deborah Warren Ms. Warren, of Marmora, is Administrator of the Fabeth Nursing Home and has worked as a registered nurse in various institutions in Eastern and Central Ontario. She was a member of Kinette Service Club which provided services to the elderly and nursery school children.

Mrs. Autayo has served as a member of the Chiropody Review Committee, member of the Renfrew County Committee for Abused Women and a board member of the Renfrew County Family and Children Services. She has been a volunteer driver for se~ors in her community.

Mr. Gordon A. Brown Mr. Brown, of Arnprior, is a teacher for the Renfrew County Board of Education. He is the Emergency Measures Co-ordinator of the Township Emergency Measures Organization and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department-for the McNab Township. Mr. Brown has been a member of the Association for Community Living.

Mrs. Mary Jane Carrothers Mrs. Carrothers, of Deep River, worked as a teacher in Home Management and Hospital Service. She is a member of the St. John Ambulance and teaches C.P.R. She has been a board member of the River Parkway Day Care.

Ms. Joanne Cooke Ms. Cooke, of Golden Lake, is a community worker identifying health care needs and providing information, instructions and guidance in safe health practices and the proper utilization of the available health care services to the Native population.

Mr. Dick Edwards Mr. Edwards, of Pembroke, is Administrator of Special Education for the Renfrew County Board of Education. He is a member of the Renfrew County Development Support Services Advisory Committee and Program Committee of Council for Exceptional Children. Mr. Edwards has served as a member of the Renfrew County Mental Health and Addictions Advisory Committee and member of the Renfrew County Inter-Agency Liaison Committee.

Mr. Norman Hazelwood Mr. Hazelwood, of White Lake, who was nominated by the County of Renfrew, is Reeve of the Township of McNab. He has served as board member of the Arnprior Hospital and Family and Children Services.

Mr. Germain Jean-Baptiste Mr. Jean-Baptiste, of Pembroke, is Director of Respiratory Therapy at the Pembroke Civic Hospital. He is a member of the Renfrew County Lung Association, member of the Non­smokers' Association, and member of the French Language Committee of the Pembroke Civic Hospital.

Mrs. Lynn C. Joyce Mrs. Joyce, of Chalk River, who was nominated by the County of Renfrew, is Reeve of the Village of Chalk River. Mrs. Joyce is a member of the Advisory Committee for North Renfrew Clubhouse Mental Health Program and has served as County representative on the Board of Health for the Renfrew County and District Health Unit.

Mrs. Marion Kraft Mrs. Kraft, of Pembroke, is Executive Director for the Council on Ageing for Renfrew County. She has served as a member of the Steering Committee for Renfrew County Long Term Health Care and the Renfrew County Senior Games. Mrs. Kraft is Treasurer of the Pembroke­Petawawa Thyroid Foundation of Canada.

Ms. Joan T. Lemay Ms. Lemay, of Renfrew, is Executive Director of the VON South Renfrew Branch. She is chair of the Nursing Administration Committee of RNAO and member of the Board of Family Focus, Arnprior. Mrs. Lemay has served on the Board of Directors of Renfrew County Legal Clinic and the Renfrew County Health Services Task Force.

Mrs. Susan E. McSheffrey Mrs. McSheffrey, of Renfrew, is Head of Physiotherapy at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.

Dr. Wayne R. Olsheski Dr. Olsheski, of Petawawa, is Medical Officer for the Royal Canadian Dragoons, Canadian Forces Base in Petawawa. He has worked as a Social Centre Co-ordinator at the Centre for the Mentally Handicapped at Barry's Bay.

Mr. Barrie S. Pettigrew Mr. Pettigrew, of Arnprior, worked as a powerline maintainer with Ontario Hydro. He has been a health and safety representative and served on the Employee Assistance Committee, Region Branch Health and Safety Advisory Committee and Employment Equity Committee.

Ms. Colleen Ryan-Franey Ms. Ryan-Franey, ofKillaloe, is a Co-ordinator/Consultant with the Barry ' s Bay Access Centre. She has served as a member of the Fundraising Committee of the Killaloe Public Library Board of Directors and member of the Board of Directors of the Taunton Road Day Care Centre.

Mr. Larry Sobol Mr. Sobol, of Eganville, is Addiction Services Planner with the Addiction Research Foundation in Pembroke. He is Past President and member of the Boards of Directors of the Pathways Alcohol and Drug Counselling Services, member of the Advisory Committee, Renfrew County Alcohol and Drug Assessment Referral Service and the Renfrew County Committee on Abused Women.

Ms. Danielle Thomas Ms. Thomas, of Weatmeath, is a Staff Nurse at the Pembroke General Hospital. She is a member of the Utilization Committee at the Hospital and a member of the Negotiating Team of the Ontario Nurses Association, Local 91. Ms. Thomas has served as Treasurer and President of the Association.

He has served as a member on the Mayor' s Task Force on Drugs in Toronto, co-chair and founding member of the Carlton Village Residents Action Committee to End Drug Abuse and a volunteer with the Madawaska Food Bank in Barry's Bay.

Mr. James R. Watt Mr. Watt, of Petawawa, is a Teacher with the Renfrew County Board of Education. He is Chairman of the O.S.S.T.F. Bargaining Committee, Renfrew County, and has served as a member on this Committee.

Dr. Peter F. Scott Dr. Scott, of Parry Sound, is a Physician in active practice. His present/past community involvements include being a Charter Member of the Board and President of the Association of Ontario Health Centres; Past Member of the Steering Committee for the District Health Council; and Vice-Chair of OMA, HSO Section. Dr. Scott initiated the Children's Mental Health and Family Centre and is a Home Care Advisor.

Ms. Janet Kraft Ms. Kraft is employed as a caseworker with the Region of Waterloo Social Services Department. She has been the co-ordinator of the Child and Parent Place in Kitchener, and a housing and outreach worker with the York Employment Service of Cambridge, where she served as chair of the Advisory Committee. Ms. Kraft is currently the secretary of the Conestoga College Alumni Board of Directors and served as a member and 2nd Vice-President of the Kitchener­Waterloo YWCA from April 1989 to April 1991.

Theodore Jewell Nominated as a member

Mr. Theodore Jewell Mr. Jewell, of Kapuskasing, is a former Vice-Principal and educator who is in semi-retirement. He sits on a number of local boards and commissions and is the Organist at his church. Mr. Jewell has lived in the Kapuskasing area for over forty years and was once the mayor of Kapuskasing.

Kenora (Town of) Police Services Board

Patricia· Anne MacDonald Nominated as a member

Ms. Patricia Anne MacDonald Ms. MacDonald, of Kenora, is currently employed by the Woods District Hospital, Medical Records Department as an administrative assistant. She is active in her community, teaching computers to young children, volunteering with the Kenora Figure Skating Club, and serving as secretary-treasurer of the Kenora Keewatin District Labour Council. Ms. MacDonald has lived in the Kenora area for almost forty years.
