The Blessed Salivaof the Prophet rRegarding the saliva of
ordinary people like you and I, it is mentioned that ifone spits
anywhere or on anything, then it is unhygienic and carries germs
and harmful bacteria that causes illnesses. It is for this reason
that one may even see a sign which says Do not spit hear. It is
unhealthy. However the Lu'aab-e-Dahan (Holy Saliva) of the Holy
Prophet r is not unclean or does not cause illness butit is the
cure to illnesses. Through it, severe illnesses are completely
cured just as it has been mentioned in distinguished kitaabs.Hazrat
Sahl bin Sa
ad t states that on the day of Khaibar the Holy Prophet r said,
Tomorrow I shall give the flag in the hand of such a person in
whose hand Almighty Al'laah will give success and victory and he
loves Almighty Al'laah and His Prophet r. The following morning all
the Sahaba (alaihimur ridwaan) presented presented them selves in
the Holy Court of the Holy Prophet r and each one wished thatthe
flag would be given to him but the Holy Prophet r said,`Where is
Ali ibn Abi Talib t?'The Sahaba-e-Kiraam said,His eyes are hurting
(had an eye infection)The Prophet r said,Ask for someone to call
him Someone was sent to call Hazrat Ali t. When he arrived
, the Holy Prophet r put his blessed saliva into his eyes and
Hazrat Ali t became well and he felt as if there never was any pain

says that his fathers both eyes became completely white and he
could not see at all,Then the Holy Prophet Muhammad r placed his
blessed saliva into both his eyes andhe began to see and I have
seen that even at the age of eighty he used to thread a needle

It has been quoted by Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhadith Dehlwi t,
then by HazratAllama Qistalaani Shareh Bukhari in his book
Mawahibul Laduniyah and Allama Yusuf Nibhaani t in his book
Anwaarul Muhammadiya that:Once the Prophet r gargled into a well,
due to which the entire well became fragrant like kasturi and musk.

water from the well at the house of the distinguished
Sahabi-e-Rasool HazratAnas t was very bitter.The Holy Prophet r put
his saliva into the well at the house of Hazrat Anas t. The water
became so sweet that there was no water in the entire Madinah

snake in the Cave of Thawr,'Then the Holy Prophet r applied his
blessed saliva on the snake bite and the discomfort which he (Abu
