Summary: I attended site to inspect a medium-sized, relatively young Himalayan Cedar tree (Deodar) located at the South Eastern boundary of the property.

The tree of concern is situated inside a raised garden bed behind a short retaining wall, and its root system is causing structural damage to the retaining wall, with sections falling onto the footpath. The roots have also extended up to the veranda of the premises, where they have started to lift the concrete, causing some quite large cracks. Should this be left to continue, it is likely to cause significant structural damage to the foundations of the property (if it hasn't already).

Given the relative youth of the tree, and the current and anticipated structural damage caused to the premises, I would recommend that the tree be removed as soon as practicably possible.
