Tilt Lock & Pivot Bearing Mechanism

Miter cutting setup is simple and accurate with the quick acting tiltlock and pivot bearing mechanism. Tilt indicator scales areconveniently located on each side of the machine with positive

conveniently located on each side of the machine, with positivestops at 45° left and right.

Vise Jaws

5

When miter cutting, the vise jaws can be easily positioned to provide clearance for the saw frame.

Vise Jaw Assembly

The vise jaws on the 8 Mark II are easily adjustable and can be used

6

The vise jaws on the 8 Mark II are easily adjustable and can be used on either side of the blade.

Guide Arm Adjustment

The upper guide arm is easily adjusted with the handle located onthe left side. The height scale is calibrated to ensure the guidesclear the work. Constructed from cast iron, this design has been

7

proven to dampen vibration and noise, increasing cuttingperformance while reducing the cost per cut.

Carbide Blade Guard

8

The blade guard swings into position with a cam locking hinge.

Blade Guides

The carbide blade guide assembly virtually eliminates noise andvibration. The guide system offers six points of contact formaximum support and accurate sawing. Two solid carbide guidess pport the sides of the blade hile a press re block applies a slight

support the sides of the blade while a pressure block applies a slightforward preload.

Upper Band Wheel Assembly

Cast iron wheels reduce vibration while sawing. A large 18.25”wheel diameter helps to reduce blade fatigue. Safety interlocks onboth band wheel doors prevent the operation of the saw during blade

Automatic Blade TensionThe Saw Column, carrying the band wheels and blade, is mounted on a cast iron carriage with six evenly spaced, permanently sealed ball bearing rollers traveling on machined rails.

Once the blade is in place, a fewstrokes on the ratchet handlestrokes on the ratchet handlewhich is equipped with a positivestop, ensure correct tension everytime. Alignment screws areprovided to adjust blade tracking

Control Panel

Simplicity of operation is one of the Series 8 Mark II’s greatestfeat res The operator friendl controls mo nted at a comfortable

12

features. The operator friendly controls, mounted at a comfortablework height, include just four selector switches and a handy speedand feed selector chart.

Large T-Slotted Table

The cast iron table with four machined T-slots for vises and workholding fixtures, has more than 800 square inches of work area.Hardened Steel Wear Strips minimize table wear.

Convenient Saw Controls

Feed pressure, blade speed controls are conveniently located on thefront right hand side. Feed pressure is adjustable up to 140 lbs. bysliding the feed press re indicator along the direct reading balance

Positive Blade Drive

The 8 Mark II blade drive features a 2 H.P. TEFC motor and speedselector, variable speed pulley with a poly-vee drive belt. Blade

15

speeds range from 50 to 450 FPM.

Automatic Column Traverse Stops

Adjustable stops on the 8 Mark II can be set to limit the forward and ret rn tra el of the col mn and to sh t off the sa at the completion

16

return travel of the column, and to shut off the saw at the completion of a cut.

Blade Cleaning Brush

A powered blade cleaning brush and two coolant jets help keep theblade clear of chips, increasing blade life by reducing the

17

p , g y grecirculation of chips through the cut.

Coolant Pump

A large 21 gallon coolant reservoir and 1/8 H.P. coolant pump supplyample coolant to the cutting area and blade cleaning brush

Electrical Disconnect

A NEMA 12 enclosure combined with a mechanical disconnect offersfull lock-out tag-out safety. Square D and Allen Bradley are just a
