About the FOUNDER

Laura Derk, Founder of Scrolls Unlimited, Inc. believes

that Christians have a responsibility to be a light in a very dark world. Commercialism brings just about

every mixed emotion we feel during the holidays except the one the Lord

wants us to experience...PEACE. Loving the traditions of the CHRISTmas holiday, she found herself trying to keep up with the holiday rush and

compromising the real meaning of CHRISTmas. Deep down in her heart she knew she was trying to mix the world’s view of CHRISTmas with

CHRIST’s birth. In wanting to give her children good memories of the holiday season, she began to realize that the good memories seem to

become more important than understanding the real impact of CHRIST’s birth on the world. As she grew in the Lord, she began to realize that true

PEACE only comes through the understanding of CHRIST’s birth as taught in the scriptures. Today she celebrates CHRISTmas for what it is, and what a wonderful opportunity she is now providing to people all over

the world by hand making scroll ornaments for the Christmas tree to display the wonderful messages of our Lord and Savior.
