• Southern Risk Management Education Center provided a stipend to assess the need and interest of Annie’s Project in Kentucky
• Evaluation committee moved forward with a pilot program of Annie’s Project

3 Pilot Sessions -- Winter 2007
1. Western Kentucky - Old Purchase Area (Marshall, Graves, & Calloway Counties)
2. North West Kentucky -Henderson, Union, Webster, & Daviess Counties
3. Central Kentucky - Shelbyville Area (Shelby, Franklin, & Henry Counties)

• Criteria for selecting pilot locations– Counties with a proven track record
of implementing new programs– County agents willing to work on a
multi-county level– Specifically focused on Western
portion of the state, due to timeline for implementation.

• Class Structure– Six - 3 Hour Seminar Classes + Meal– 14 – 25 Participants per Location– Classroom and Computer Lab
• County Extension Office, Community College, Mobile Computer Lab
– Flexible Agenda – a change – Team-Taught

• Cost of Program– Cost per participant for materials and
supplies was approximately $100, excluding specialists time and travel
– Participants paid a $50 registration fee– Statewide sponsorships & grants covered
remaining $50 material costs– County agents obtained local
sponsorships to cover the cost of meals
