1.2 If any paper is not mentioned in the timetable, Centres must contact Cambridgefor the examination dates.
2 Planning the session and the Key Time
Timetabled exams must be taken in the morning or afternoon session, as shownon the FINAL timetable.
All candidates entered for timetabled exams in a session must be under Full
Centre Supervision at the Key Time
If you timetable exams after the Key Time you must keep candidates underFull Centre Supervision from the Key Time until the candidates start the exam.
If the candidates have already completed the exam, you must keep themunder Full Centre Supervision until the Key Time.
There is one Key Timefor the morning session and a second Key Timefor theafternoon session.
You can find yourKey Timesat www.cie.org.uk/keytime. They are expressed asboth local time and GMT/UTC.
If your country observes Daylight Saving Time (DST), the dates when thisapplies will be shown on the Key Times webpage. Different local Key Timeswillbe given for when DST is being observed and when DST is notbeing observed. If your country does not observe DST, this will be stated on the Key Timeswebpage.
What does under Full Centre Supervision mean?
Candidates can be in the exam room, doing their exam, under the supervision ofinvigilators.
If the Key Time is before the start of the exam, candidates:
must be supervised by teachers or invigilators from the Key Time until the start
of the exam
can have access to their books and notes, and can talk to each other
must not have access to telephones, mobile phones, the internet, or any othermeans of external communication
must not be allowed to communicate, in any way, with anyone not under FullCentre Supervision.
If candidates have finished their exam they:
may be permitted to leave the exam room, provided that they are supervisedby invigilators continuously from the time they leave until the Key Time
can have access to their books and notes once outside the exam room, andcan talk to each other (provided that they do not cause any disturbance toother candidates who are still doing an examination)
must not have access to telephones, mobile phones, the internet, or any othermeans of external communication
must not be allowed to communicate, in any way, with anyone not under FullCentre Supervision.
If you do not comply with the Key Timeregulations Cambridge will class this asmaladministration. We may be unable to accept candidates work.
You must report any incidents or irregularities among candidates under FullCentre Supervision. This includes any access to unauthorised means ofcommunication. We will treat such instances as malpractice.
3 Centre arrangements
You are responsible for letting candidates know when exams will start, and for
telling them about any changes to the printed timetable. Centre arrangements
must fully comply with all regulations, including those for the Key Time.
4 Where there is more than one paper in a single session
4.1 If a candidate is entered for two papers which are timetabled for the same examsession, they may have a short, fully supervised break between the two papers. You must follow the Key Time regulations and keep the candidate under FullCentre Supervision during this break.
4.2 If a candidate has to sit two papers in one session, the second question papermust NOT be given out until the time allocated to the first question paper haselapsed and the scripts for the first paper have been collected.
This rule does not apply if the rubric of either question paper gives a differentinstruction.
5 Time allowance for question papers
Any time allocated for candidates to read through question papers and to study
maps, etc., is already included in the total time allowance shown in the
timetable. You must not allow any additional time.
6 IGCSE Art and Design 0400 Papers 1 and 2,GCE AS and A Level Art & Design 9704 Paper 1

processed.
Copies of GCE AS & A Level Art & Design 9704 Paper 1 are to be given to
candidates on receipt.
7 Timetable clashes
If a candidate is entered for two papers timetabled for the same session, therules depend on the total duration of the two papers.
If the total duration is3 hours and 45 minutes or less: the candidate should
take both papers in the same session with a supervised break between them. You must observe the Key Time regulations in full. You do not need to tellCambridge about this.
If the total durationis more than 3 hours and 45 minutes:you must submit aTimetable Deviation Form (Preparation Form 2) to Cambridge. We will onlyconsider applications to move a paper to the following day if the total duration ofall the papers to be taken on that day exceeds 6 hours.
N.B. Candidates taking an examination with an approved timetable deviationmust be kept isolated from candidates who have already taken the paper. Theymust be under Full Centre Supervision from the Key Time for the examinationuntil the time they actually take the examination.
If Cambridge cannot confirm that candidates have been kept under Full CentreSupervision from the Key Time for the examination until the rescheduledexamination time, we may be unable to accept their work.
For further information about timetable clashes, please refer to Part 1 of the2013 Cambridge Handbook.
8 Practical tests in Science, Food and Nutrition and Fashion and Fabrics
8.1 All practical papers must be taken in the sessions shown on the FINALtimetable.
8.2 If there is not enough space for all candidates in one sitting, the invigilator mayhold the test in two sittings. You must ensure the integrity of the examination, including full compliance with the Key Timeregulations. You must also ensurethat candidates who have taken the test in the first sitting do not communicate inany way with those taking the test in the second sitting, either at the Centre or atany other Centre.
