Normally a tack coat is not required unless thesurface to be covered is extremely dry orraveled. If required, the spray applied tack coat
should consist of one part emulsion and threeparts water. Application rate according to theFAA specifications and engineer approval. Thepavement condition will dictate the amount of
fog seal material required.

The aggregate shall consist of sound and durablemanufactured sand, slag, crusher fines, crushedstone, or combination thereof. The aggregate

Micro-surfacing
Similar to Slurry Seal but typically thicker
Asphalt Binders are always polymer modified
Used when a faster setting thicker surfaceapplications is required.
Mixes are “stiff,” and can withstand loads withoutdeformation
Can be used in multiple lifts for leveling. Microsurfacing is usually a thicker application than
slurry seal.
