The Event

On August 29, 2013 KidSport will host the 8th Annual KidSport Charity Golf Classic in support of the KidSport program in Ontario. Participants are invited to join us for an afternoon of golf followed by dinner and a live and silent auction, taking place early in the evening. Further, you can look forward to winning great prizes with contests and giveaways throughout the day. Last year’s golf classic raised over $70,000 for underserviced kids to play sport in Ontario!

The Event Itinerary

The Opportunity

This is to invite you to become a supporter of the 8th Annual KidSport Charity Golf Classic. The Classic is an annual signature event for KidSport in Ontario. The KidSport Charity Golf Classic is designed to be a premiere fundraising golf tournament and charity auction. Our goal in 2013 is to raise $100,000.00 in support of KidSport. Sponsorship of this event offers the opportunity to: • Develop an association with an important cause and respected organization; • Host key clients in a fun and relaxed setting; • Network with leaders in the business community and sport industry; • Showcase your product/brand to a desirable target audience; • Enhance your community investment program. This package outlines numerous levels of sponsorship and related benefits. (Importantly, it can be further customized to meet your specific marketing needs.) We offer four key ways for corporations to get involved: sponsorship, gifts-in-kind, corporate foursomes, and donations.

Marketing Strategy

This year, we will implement an effective marketing and public relations program to generate awareness and interest in the “Classic”.

We will create a targeted marketing program which includes the following tactics:

•Pre and post tournament online newsletter feature

•Official web page on the KidSport site dedicated to the tournament

•Social media presence to create buzz

•Email campaign to our extensive database of supporters and stakeholders

•Media alert and press release around the tournament

•Sponsor directed communications and promotions (e.g. company/employee newsletters, etc.)

•On site signage on the course and in the facilities

helped as a result of KidSport’s initiatives.

About Fun… The primary goal of children’s sport programming is that each

child should have so much fun that they can’t wait to play again next season!

About the Future… All kids should be given the opportunity to develop healthy lifestyles,

no matter the financial, physical or language barriers that may exist! Staying physically active helps encourage children to maintain healthy habits throughout their whole lives. The challenges that come with playing sports also teach children valuable life lessons and skills including leadership, practice, hard work, dedication and self confidence.

KidSport’s Impact

Since 1993, over half a million under resourced Canadian kids have been provided with the means to pursue their passion in sport

In 2012, over 50,000 kids who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to play were assisted

Every child that KidSport funds is another participant in a local sport club/program

The program continues to grow in Ontario

In 2012, over 2,600 Ontario kids received grants totalling more than $500,000

Compared to just over 1,600 kids helped in 2009, totalling just over $200,000

Additionally, over 5,000 kids are introduced to local sport opportunities and KS each year

Long term athlete development (LTAD) – making it a reality for all kids in the province
