This aspect gives us our identity and is well-recognized in our community due to the long history of our school. It is vital that this uniform is worn correctly at all times. Please Moms and Dads, these important things are what set our school family apart from so many oth- ers and despite what we may think, we do need to “Sweat the Small Stuff”. HAS YOUR CHILD LOST ITEMS? Firstly, I implore parents of children who are missing parts of their uniform to please wade through the mass of lost property before saying that these items are either lost or have been stolen. Secondly, should you notice your daughter wearing some items of uniform which do not belong to her, please return these to school. Even items of clothing that are marked with the child’s name are being worn by other children. This, I am sure you will agree, is to- tally unacceptable. EXAMS Exam dates are set by the WCED and as such we have decided to move the soiree to a date later in the year, that will not distract the attention from the academic focus. Exams are important, but more important is consis- tent effort and a positive attitude to do one’s best. Sadly many girls have waited rather than studying, but it’s never too late. Tables, spelling, neat presen- tation of work, care to work accurately and a drive to achieve are life lessons that cannot be over- stressed.

As part of our topic on animals, the Grade 2’s went on an exciting game drive around the school.

We used a map to navigate and a checklist to help us recognise and record what species we spotted.
