NOTE. If there is any doubt about conditions relating to building use and occupancy, devices that conform toBS EN 1125 should be used.

For doors in buildings accessed by the public, where panic situations are foreseen and occupants have no priorknowledge of the device. Panic devices operated by a horizontal bar should be fitted.

Panic Exit Devices to BS EN 1125

For use in emergency situations where trained personnel are familiar with the emergency exit and its hardware and thereforea panic situation is unlikely to develop. Emergency devices operated by a lever handle or push pad may be used.

This lock only requires a single hand operation to effectan exit and can be used on those escape doors whichdo not require exit devices to BS EN 1125 or BS EN 179
