BALLARAT CUP FINAL NIGHT
Outstanding sprinter, Zambora Brockie
(September 2013 Nitro Burst x Flying Liddy),
trained at Myrniong by Anthony Azzopardi, has
a stranglehold on tonight’s $77,000 to the winner
Ballarat Cup final.
Just as he did in the recent Melbourne Cup
final, where he was beaten, but the question is, if
he is going to be beaten again, who will the
winner be?
Female trainers have a big influence on the
race too, with five runners, can one of them beat
the favourite?
We will know shortly after 9.29pm tonight.
See more about the Ballarat Cup on Page 14

Follow up from
Last week.
More on the Marley Girl
Litter. LAST WEEK in the Mailbag segment, we covered a
litter of seven dogs and five bitches, from Longwood
breeder Maureen Barry, by Group 1 Vic Peters Classic
winner Spring Gun, from the beautifully bred bitch,
Marley Girl (December 2010 Mogambo x Girl Aloud),
whose dam is by Spiral Nikita* x Crystal Entity (Just
The Best x Graceful Affair).
When we first put the story onto the website,
there were a couple of minor errors, which were
quickly corrected, so most people wouldn’t have
noticed.
In making the corrections, I realized there was
additional material I had researched, but not been able
to use in the space I had allocated.
I have decided to include that detail this week to
go with the great photo of Marley Girl, watching over a
couple of the pups, who are now just over 13 weeks
old.
The additional information I wanted include was the
details of the race records of Marley Girl’s litter.,
which are as follows:
Greyhound Starts 1sts 2nds 3rds
Evie’s Entity F 51 20 14 1
Gambo Girl F 30 9 5 2
Hez Aloud M 13 2 3 1
Heza Hustler M 26 6 2 1
Lango F 33 6 4 9
Loud One F 36 5 7 4
Marley’s Girl F 30 10 6 0
Scooter’s Girl F 5 1 0 0
Zoenah’s Entity F 50 13 11 3
Totals 274 72 52 21
As we told you last week, the litter’s combined stake
earnings exceed $150,000.
Clarifying the race record of Evie’s Entity, she
was a finalist in the Group 1 Sapphire Classic, Group 2
Warragul Cup and Group 2 Horsham Cup.
Zoenah’s Entity recently became a proven brood
bitch with the win of Billy’s Bake at Sandown on
November 24. He has now raced eight times for three
wins and four placings. Roger Clark

Only had the three starts before than for wins over 460
