Timeline to Opening Day!

It’s time to start counting down to the big day! This guide will be a valuable resource as you go through the exciting and hectic weeks before Opening Day. Use this guide as a place to keep track of all of your important contacts and dates. Every step of this 9 Weeks to Open Guide gives you space to write down all this important information plus room for notes. Keep this with you at all times for quick reference and use it to its fullest potential. This will ensure that your opening process will be a low-stress and successful one! This guide begins at the time your contractor starts working. It is assumed that you have attained all of your tenant improvement permits and are legally able to begin construction of your store. It is also assumed that you have completed the franchisee training program. Your duties during the ‘Nine Weeks to Open’ are broken into two categories; Marketing & Training, and Build-Out. This guide contains an overview of both of these duties as well as a timeline of what to do by when to ensure your store is fully functional, well staffed and ready for opening day! Place job orders employment agencies, state & private. Letters to all area church pastors. Newspaper ads. www.craigslist.com (internet). www.worksource.com (internet). Post ‘Now Hiring’ flyers at area colleges’ bulletin boards. High school counselors – letters ask for referrals. Underneath the heading ‘For Your Business’, you will see ‘Custom View Wall Maps’, click on ‘Custom View Wall Maps’. 4. Enter your store’s address underneath the heading ‘Start your Custom Wall Map’, then click next. 5. Enter the Title for your map. The store name is all you need to put in this section. 6. You will now have three options to choose from. The first option is ‘street-level map’ or ‘highway-level map’. Always choose street-level map. 7. The next option you have is ‘tall map’ or ‘wide map’. Always choose Wide Map. 8. Next option is size. You can choose large, medium or small. Always choose large. 9. The last option on this page is whether or not you want an index for your map. Choose Yes. Then click next. 10. You should now be looking at the map. On the right side of the map there is a zoom in and zoom out slider. In the middle is an adjust button. Slide the adjust button all the way to the top which will zoom you in as far as you can zoom in. This should give you a 4-5 mile print Area. You can now drag the map in the background to get the map area that you want within the ‘Print Area’. Once you’re happy with the area within the ‘Print Area’, click next. 11. At this point you can preview your map. If you like it then purchase it.
