During a live performance, most
of the sound you hear about 89% is reflected. But conventional
speakers deliver almost 100% of
their sound directly. Inside each 901 speaker, eight precisely
angled drivers face the back to reflect
music off the walls of the room, and one driver faces the front.
Te result is a concert-like blend of
sound, with lifelike spaciousness and imaging.
Nearly 40 years of research are responsible for the 901 Series
VI speakers of today. You can easily see
some of the advanced features: like the freestanding active
equalizer, which compensates for driver
sensitivity, enclosure characteristics, speaker placement,
boundary reflections - even absorption of sound
by the grille material. Still other features are hidden inside
the speakers. For e xample, theres the patented
Acoustic Matrix speaker enclosure, which deftly handles internal
air flows of up to 60 mph f or impressive
bass. And the flat, edge wound aluminum wire of the Helical
Voice Coil drivers, which helps explain the
