Victor S. Voinovich, Sr., CPA, serves as managing director for Sperry Van Ness/First Place Commercial Realty, LLC specializing in the sale of retail, office and multifamily properties in Northeast Ohio. Voinovich has more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, he served as president and founder of The Victor S. Voinovich Company, a commercial real estate firm that was named a company to watch in the 21st century by “Cleveland Magazine”. Prior to forming VSV Co. in 1985, Voinovich served as principal, treasurer and senior vice president with Cragin, Lang, Free, & Smythe, Inc. where he was responsible for the Commercial Office Division.

Voinovich is a founder/past chairman of the International Tenant Representative Alliance; the past chairman of the Marketing Committee of Cleveland Theater District Development Corporation where he also served as chairman/founder of the predecessor organization and the Committee to Improve Playhouse Square; He is also a past board member of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association.

Among his achievements are: receiving the Downtown Cleveland Business Council Recognition award in 1984; the Case Western Reserve University Outstanding Accounting Alumnus of the Year award in 1989, the Executive of the Year award from the Executive Women International in 1991; named one of the top 20 power people in the suburbs by “Cleveland Magazine” in 1995, a graduate of Leadership Cleveland, Class of 1999, recipient of the 1999 Distinguished Service Award from the Cleveland Theater District Development Corporation and the recipient of the Office Deal of the Year award in 2001 from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. In 2006, Voinovich was honored as a top producer in the Ohio market by receiving the CoStar Power Broker Award. Only 2 percent of more than 118,000 eligible brokers nationwide were selected for this highly coveted award.

Voinovich earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration in accounting from Case Western Reserve University where he graduated with honors. He resides in Valley View, Ohio, with his wife Patricia and has four adult children.
