Swim Lessons: Summer swim lessons are winding down. We still have

instructors available the next couple of weeks if you know of any children

(or adults) that need swim lessons. The fall lesson session begins August

25th, and runs for 8 weeks. The registration forms are now available in the

swim room, and on the club’s website. Our lessons are open to non-

members, so please spread the word… Rollingwood instructors are the

BEST!!

Swim Team: Our very own Rollingwood Rockets finished-up the season

with a 16th consecutive Championship win. The team out-distanced the

second place team by over 500 points! League hi-point trophies were won

by Brianna Gilchrist (6&under girls), Nicole Hensley (11/12 girls), and Aus-

tin Stevenson (15-18 boys). Congratulations to each and every swimmer

for hitting best times, showing stellar sportsmanship, and bringing home

the trophy… AGAIN!

Water Polo: Water Polo has been a huge hit at Rollingwood this season!

Coach Michelle had 21 participants in the first clinic, and now 8 in the sec-

ond. The kids are learning lots, and by the time they get to high school,

they will certainly be experts!

Fall Swim Clinic begins August 25th!! Just a few more weeks and the

kids will be back swimming again. The outdoor pool will be reserved for

the clinic from 4:15 to 7:00 Monday through Friday. The clinic is designed

for Rocket swimmers or others from recreational teams who want to con-

tinue learning and improving throughout the fall season. This program will

emphasize proper stroke development using drills, games, and other

teaching techniques. It is not intended to be a conditioning program, but

because of the amount of swimming involved and the technical nature of

the workouts, the clinic is only open to kids who have already been on a

swim team and meet specific eligibility requirements. The “Pumpkin Meet”

is the endpoint of the fall clinic, and will be held on Saturday, October 18th.

This meet is held here at the club, and includes parent races, a “pumpkin

buddy relay”, and a potluck following the meet. Loads of fun for all!! Pick

up a clinic registration form in the swim room or online.

Pool Users:

Pool Rentals There are a few parties/events coming up at the end of the sum-mer season so please be aware that there may be a few times the pool or pool area will be in-use. For most events, the pool will still be open for members to use but if the entire pool area has been reserved, a sign will be posted in-advance to make you aware. The indoor pool will still be available for general use.

Swim lessons are held weekday afternoon & early evenings indoors, but during these lesson times there will always be at least one lane available for lap swimming.

Remember, Water Aerobics classes, adult lap swimming, swim lessons & swim team have priority over any other activities in our indoor pool.

you & make the most of your time here. Checking-in at the front desk

should make you feel that there’s a wealth of options awaiting you to find

your fun. A strong sense of community is one of Rollingwood’s main goals

& there is really just one way we can make it happen & that’s with YOUR

TRX is Coming! Equipment is being installed & will be incorporated into Bootcamp classes on Tuesday at 6pm & Saturday at 9am. Come and try it for free with our TRX certified/personal trainer/nutritionist Greg!
