Rules & Regulations
Stalls: Stalls are permanent 10 x 10, with doors. Doors MAY NOT be removed. Exibitors will be responsible for damage to the stalls. Stall fee is $125.00 (no first bedding included). Stall fees are not refundable after the closing date. Horses without a stall will be assessed a $50.00 grounds fee, per day. Any damage to stalls must be reported to the show’s management upon your arrival, failure to do so will constitute laibility for any fees charged by the Dream Park. Even if you bring 1 – 2 horses, we recommend you rent a tack stall for safety and security reasons. If you hang, tie or use any open stall the Dream Park may count that as your stall and you be charged accordingly. ANY DOORS REMOVED MUST BE REPLACED PRIOR TO YOUR LEAVING THE SHOW.
Arrival Times: Stalls will be available at 12:00 noon, Wedesday 1, 2020 and must be vacated no later than 12:00 noon, Monday, April 6, 2020. Prior arrangements for early arrivals and late departures must be made in advance of the show and will be assessed a $25.00 per day charge. Arragnements may be made by contacting the Show Secretary.
Schooling: The show ring will be open for schooling at 12:00 noon, April 1, 2020; however, preparations of the ring will be taking place. Trainers and exhibitors are welcome to utilize the show ring for schooling during this set up period. Once the show commences, the ring will be available as announced. The ring will close thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of each session. The show ring is 150’ x 300’ with composite soil footing. Warm up rings will be available for the exhibitor’s use. The outdoor warm up ring has stone dust footing.
Payments: A penatly of $75.00 will be charged for all returned checks. Cash or certified check must replace all returned checks. No one will be allowed to show if they have a check or handling fee outstanding. All fees must be paid before numbers will be released or an open check must be on file. Prize money will be awarded as set forth below.
Entries: Entries close March 22, 2020. Post-entries will be accepted. Entry fees are as follows: Qualifing Classes $25.00; Championship Classes $40.00.
Entry Blanks must be completed in full, signed and accompanied by full payment, credit card instructions or a signed, open check. Registration documents and applicable membership cards should accompany your entries. Open checks will be accepted but no numbers will be handed out without an open check or credit card in the office. No entry will be processed without the aforementioned being complete. A non-refundable $25.00 per horse office charged will be assessed. All accounts must be settled in the horse show office by the conclusin of the show – no exceptions.
Refunds: All scratches must be in writing by the closing date of March 22, 2020. If payment was collected the scratched horses will receive a full refund of all entry and stall fees. Scratches made after the closing date and before the arrival date of April 1, 2020, will receive a full refund of the entry and stall fee, less the $25.00 office fee, unless the trainer or owner replaces the scratched horse with a new horse entry. For entry fee only refunds after the arrival date, the scratched horses will require a signed note from the Horse Show Veterinarian, unless the scratched entry is replaced by another entry. Stall fees are not refundable after the closing date of the entries but notified scratches prior to the arrival date may be considered for a refund.
Changes & Scratches: The horse show office will open one (1) hour prior to the start of each session. All changes, adds or scratches must be completed prior to the start of the session. Entry fees from timely scratched classes may be credited toward another class entered or a new entry to replaced the scratched entry. Generally no refund will be given subject to the refund rules above.
Prize Money: All money will be paid through the horse show office. All prize monies in excess of the balance due will be mailed to the owner of record, unless otherwise directed, within thirty (30) days after completion of the show. Any Championship (excluding academy and equitation) with six (6) or more entries will be considered a $250.00 Championship.

UPHA Who We Are The United Professional Horsemen's Association was founded in 1968 by a group of professional horse trainers who recognized the need for an organization in which professional horsemen and horsewomen could unite to improve the horse show industry and define and clarify their professionalism within the industry. UPHA active membership is open to anyone who has been a bona fide professional horse trainer for a period of one year prior to application. The applicant must also have a sponsor who is a UPHA member. If you have a question please ask us or go to the Show Office. Associate memberships in UPHA are available to anyone
who does not make their primary living from horses, but arestill involved and interested in the horse industry.
Dogs/Animals: Dogs and other anmials will not be permitted on the premises unless retained on a leash and under control at all times. Unleashed animals will be subject to capture and/or fine and removal from the show grounds by Logan Township or the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. A $50.00 fine may be imposed on the owner of an unleased animal. No animals, even when leashed and owned by management personnel are allowed in the office building, pavillion, or vendor area unless owned by the disabled Keep dogs outside and in the barn areas.
Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in all offices, stable pavillions, spectator pavillion, equine building or indoor arena areas. As per New Jersey State Law, this includes the use of electronic cigarettes.
Fires: In accordance with State regulations, no open fires are ever permitted on any part fo the Dream Park property. Barbeque grills may be used in the camper area only. This rule is strictly enforced.
Minors Who Do Not Have a Valid Driver’s License which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind incuding, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above-described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parents, legal guardians or any individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorozed vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violation of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parents, guaraidans and/or trainers who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent, guardian or trainer from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
The Dream Park DOES NOT permit roller skates, skate boards or roller blades. Bicycles, mopeds, ATV’s, scooters and golf carts may not be operated around the show office, pavillion, vendor area, stall aisles or paddock area except by a disabled person, Dream Park employees or show officials.
DO NOT staple or post anything on the stalls, fence rails or posts, buildings, stall panels, show office, trees, etc. All items are to be posted on the notice board near the show office.
Stable Parking Area: Parking around the stable barns and the back side of the main building is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the RV area or in the large main parking lot in front of the Dream Park. Be aware that in front of the main doors on the front side of the building is a restricted parking area and the local police will ticket your car. Make sure you park in an area between the painted lines.

ORDERING FEED & BEDDING: All feed and bedding must be preordered by March 22, 2020. By Contacting Joanne Bartley at [email protected] or 717 580 0551. All orders must be guaranteed by an “open check”. Cost of the shavings is $8.00 per bale; hay will be at market price.
COGGINS TEST/HEALTH CERTIFICATE: All horses stabled outside of New Jersey must have a current negative Coggins Test dated within one (1) year of the show dates and a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) dated within 30 days of the event. All horses stabled within New Jersey must have a current negative Coggins test dated within two (2) years of the show dates. To speed processing, please send a copy with your entries.
Equine Vaccination Rule: This show will follow USEF standard rules and horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus Rhinopneumonitis vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers’ or veterinarian’s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or
agent with care, custody, & control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management when requested. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinary Committee CHANGE OR CANCELLATION: Management reserves the right to combine or cancel any classes. Management reserves the right to change or alter the officials listed without notice prior to or during the show. RING PROCEDURE: Two minutes will be allowed after the first horse enters the ring for the class to commence. At the end of two minutes, the gate will be closed and the class will proceed. NOISEMAKERS: While not a USEF rated show, our show will follow standard rules for attention getting devices &/or noisemakers, such as tape measures, blow horns, bamboo poles, explosives and fire extinguishers . Such items are not allowed in and around the warm-up and competition rings during the scheduled competition. This includes banging whips, brushes or the like on the show rail during classes. SHARPS: Management requires that exhibitors follow standard USEF Rules regarding Sharps. Failure to do so will result in a fine. LIMIT HORSE OR RIDER CLASSES: Either the horse OR rider has not won 6 blue ribbons at a Regular competition of the Federation or Equine Canada in the performance division or level in which they are shown. A horse who has won 6 blue ribbons can be shown by a rider who has not won 6 blue ribbons. A rider who has won 6 blue ribbons can show a horse who has not won 6 blue ribbons.
TROPHIES: All Perpetual and Challenge trophies are under the control of Chapter 15 and will remain in the Chapters or the sponsor’s possession. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PAST TROPHY WINNERS TO HAVE SUCH TROPHY ENGRAVED AND TO RETURN THE TROPHY PRIOR TO THE START OF THE COMPETITION. CAMPERS: Camper spaces are available at a cost of $50.00 per day. Space includes water and one 50 amp hookup. Please show number of days and cost on your Entry Blank. Tents or camping in tents is not permitted on Dream Park grounds. You are required to display a camper pass received from the office confirming the number of nights. Please display the pass on your camper so the Dream Park staff can see it while taking their daily count. Failure to get a Pass will mean you will be charged for 4 nights or $200.

ACADEMY DIVISION
Eligibility: Academy classes are limited to riders who have never shown in a class, at any show, rated or unrated, that required a suit, or jacket, or chaps, excluding lead line and UPHA Exceptional Challenge Cup. Academy exhibitors may only enter Academy Classes, Rescue Class, Pattern Class and The Driving Pattern Class at this show. Riders are to show horses that are used in a lesson program and must be participating in a professionally operated lesson program. Any breed is eligible.
General: Safety is of utmost importance, any unruly, out of control or disruptive horse will be excused. The judge may stop the class until the entry has been assisted. No action devices of any kind are allowed on academy horse in the show ring, warm up or grounds. No attention getting devices of any kind are allowed near academy horses in the show ring or warm up. Headers are permitted in line up in any class. Age of rider is determined by the age as of December 1 of the previous year. Horses used in Academy may be shown in classes other than Academy at the same show.
Attire: English – jodhpurs, breeches, boots, long sleeved shirt with a vest and tie, gloves, whips are optional. Please note that derbies, riding suits and jackets are prohibited. Western – western style pants, long sleeved shirt with or without vest, boots and appropriate tie, gloves. Please note that chaps and western hats are prohibited. No barn logos anywhere on show attire. Tack: May show in show bridle, Pelham, or snaffle bridle with martingale. Half cup blinkers are allowed, full cup blinkers or blinders are prohibited. Saddle pads are optional, no logos or names except Exceptional Challenge Cup. All riders under the age of 18 in Academy classes must wear protective headgear. Protective headgear is recommended for all riders.
Level 1 Academy Showmanship – Restricted to riders that have special needs and are currently riding in a standard lesson program.
A ground person will be allowed in the ring for safety purposes only, no coaching will be permitted from inside the ring, The Championship classes will not have a pattern. Entries in these classes may not cross enter into any other classes at this show, except for the UPHA Exceptional Challenge Cup Classes.
The Academy Walk/Trot classes for Hunt Seat or Western riders are open to hunt seat or western riders of all ages.
First Year: Only riders who have not shown at any show, rated or unrated, or tournaments prior to December 1, 2019 are eligible.
Lead Line: Riders are to be led by an adult both ways of the ring. A lead must be attached and held by handler at all times. Stallions are prohibited. To be judged on the riders basic equitation, skills and ability. Entries will be asked to trot individually if they wish.
Showmanship: Academy showmanship classes are to be judged on presentation, ringmanship, basic position and ability to control their horse. The horse’s quality is not to be judged. There will not be patterns in Showmanship Championships.
Equitation: Academy Equitation riders are to be judged on basic equitation skills, position and ability to control their horse. There will not be patterns in the Equitation Championships; however there are separate Pattern Classes for Academy WTC and WT riders offered in classes 83 and 84.
