Welcome back and congratulations!
The past few weeks have certainly been interesting, challenging and enlightening. As
we look back there is so much we can be grateful for, appreciate, be proud of and
learn from. At school we have discussed the exciting things we have seen the students
do and understand, the learning progress that has occurred, as well as the unexpected
learning that has been evidenced. From the teachers’ point of view there has not only
been learning from students but also great learning and expansion of skills for staff.
To change our regular teaching pedagogy to meet the needs of all students in different
environments has both been exciting and rewarding. We are looking forward to
continuing to implement these skills further during the coming weeks.
As we embark on full time schooling at school, we need to ensure we keep some of
these past experiences with us. The strengthened relationship between school and
home has been one of great joy, the greater understanding and participation of families
in the everyday learning experiences of children further supported by communication
between teachers and families, the extra time we all had to spend with immediate
family, along with an opportunity for us all to celebrate the achievements made by the
children both at school and home. This newsletter has been designed to show some
of the great learning that we have evidenced this term and to celebrate the wonderfully
supportive and inclusive community which we all contribute to at Harcourt PS.
Congratulations everyone, what a wonderful achievement!
