regions of North America and Canada? How are their lifestyles similar/different? How did they adapt to the various explorers who came to
North America? How was their history recorded? What religion did they follow? What remains today of the ancient Indigenous peoples? What can we learn from the Native Americans?
This term we will be thinking scientifically about:
Living Things and their Habitats: We will be discussing pollution, its causes and how we
can work to help reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, we will study the importance of
habitats and the destruction of these, how they impact on the plants and animals that live
there. Furthermore, will be looking at how plants and animals are adapted to the environment
in which they live.
We will also be looking at the Sun, the Earth and the Moon. In addition, we will be
investigating how circuits work during our work on Electricity.
Plant and Animal Classification: We will be discussing why classification is needed, how we
can use simple keys and branching databases to identify plants or animals.
We will be working scientifically to answer questions, take measurements, record and
report data, as well as give conclusions to our experiments.
