HOW TO ASK HOW SOMEONE IS DOING IN SPANISH:
¿Cómo estás? How are you? (familiar)
¿Cómo está usted? How are you? (polite)
WAYS YOU CAN RESPOND
To say “I AM…” when referring to HOW YOU ARE DOING, or your EMOTIONAL STATE, you use the word ESTOY, which means I am.
And ladies, don’t forget that you have to make the endings of adjective feminine to reflect who you are!
So the complete phrase is:
ESTOY + emotion. For example:
EMOCIONES POSITIVOS Estoy bien I am well Estoy alegre. I am happy Estoy felíz. I am happy Estoy contento / contenta. I am happy
Estoy emocionado. I am excited
