Celebrating S’mores and the Girl ScoutsFor a second year in a row, our resort hosted forty regional Girl Scouts in

celebration of National S’mores Day — a day filled with gooey fun and friendly competition. The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania earned the coveted Golden S’mores trophy after assembling close to 400 s’mores in

the fastest time, and their CEO beat the competition in the cardboard boat ‘Challenge on the Choptank.’ Congratulations to all of this year’s participants!

Meet Barton Bowser, PGA Head Golf ProfessionalAs our resident Golf Pro, Barton Bowser enjoys working with resort guests as well as locals who come to play golf at River Marsh Golf Club. His days are filled overseeing morning tee times, handling corporate golf outings, providing golf lessons, and hosting member functions in the evening.

A Class A PGA member since 2008, Barton studied Professional Golf Management at Methodist University and worked at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California and The Olde Farm Golf Club in Tennessee before joining us six years ago. He continues to expand his golf skills at the Jim McLean Golf Academy in Miami. His personal goal is to be recognized as one of the nation’s top 50 junior instructors.
