Scenarios. A furniture range which always connects with the current scenario of your

company. Organisations are becoming more virtual, since physical work does no longer

always have to take place at the office. Your employees do their work on the move, in a

roadside restaurant, on secondment, or during an informal discussion in the company

cafeteria. Scenarios represents a very versatile furniture system and can be used as an

individual workstation, a flexible workstation, a team workstation, or as a conference

table. Because of the worldwide turbulence in market development, organisations must

adapt their strategy and activities with lightning speed. In order to be able to participate

in these developments, you can rearrange your organisation with Scenarios without

moving furniture.

In a “Scenarios office” your employees will always find a workstation and an

environment, which will facilitate as well as possible the work, which must be

implemented. A Scenarios workstation is always a plug-and-play workstation. Through

the complete integration of ICT, electrification and cabling, the user can, following the

installation of the workstation, start his computer and go to work immediately.

Through the clustering of workstations and integrated electrification it is possible to

equip the building with Scenarios in an independent manner. Scenarios can be placed

standing free in a given space, cabling can be connected to the workstation directly

through the floor or the ceiling. This way the installation increases work flexibility and

makes possible considerable economies in the use of space, system partitioning and

air-conditioning.

You are free to place workstations in whatever space they are needed, without having to

take into account a fixed E-installation in the building. Cables are led from the ceiling to

the workstation via a column or via other Scenarios points of cable entry.

The ICT department can receive the Scenarios range directly. In Scenarios, you can input

data simply and in a structured manner. For future adaptations, you can act fast and

accurately, so that employees can start work rapidly and with minimum hindrance.

These are two phenomena, which at first glance have little to do with one another.

In the case of a new workspace, it is usually the ICT department, which chooses the

network and takes care of the connections. After offices have been allocated,

it often appears that the large quantity of cables cannot properly be incorporated

into the workstation.

Scenarios integrate these two worlds perfectly. The Scenarios range is designed to

eliminate the bogey of tangled cables in and under the workstation. An invisible

network of lockable channels connects the workstations with one another and provides

well-organised workstations free of exposed cables.

Lockable cable channels run integrally under the workstations. Data and electricity can be separated from one another. A pull relief and other

facilities are provided in the channel as standard. Cabling in and on the worktop has direct access to the channel beneath, with a run-through

groove equipped with brushes.

H e i g H t a d J u s t m e n t

Scenarios workstations are in all cases height-adjustable by means of a handle, or optionally automatically by means of electricity. A simple height

adjustment of worktops is an important aspect of the Scenarios design, whereby the workstation can always be adjusted to the height of the user

and in that way, employees throughout the organisation can find and install a suitable workstation.

i t i n t e g r at i o n

The CPU is safely concealed and cannot be seen in the specially designed CPU cabinet. The CPU is pulled outwards as soon as the door is pulled open,

whereby the operation of the CPU comes within the user’s reach. A safety band ensures that CPU’s of any size can be fixed.

Glass panels or upholstered partitions with functional capacity can be placed between workstations. Upholstered partitions can be supplied in any

colour, print or fabric, together with optional acoustic damping of the workstation.

In order to prevent the CPU from overheating, the CPU cabinet is provided with adequate air circulation to remove heat. Cold air is drawn in from the

environment via a recess in the bottom plate. The heated air then leaves the cabinet via integrated slots in the top. A CPU ventilator for extra cooling

is available as an option.

By means of the addition of smart accessories, it is possible to make the workstation optimally easy to use for the employees, who can start work

immediately. Not only worktops, but also screens, or a laptop, can be individually adjusted. The direct access to electric power and data on and in the

worktop are indispensable to the user so that laptops and other electronic devices can be connected and charged.

The cable channels run through the cabinet and are easily accessible. They are located under the removable plinth and are available as an option in

RSV look or wood grain. The cable channels run through if more cabinets are placed against one another, making possible every configuration for an

optimum cable infrastructure. The design of the cabling is guaranteed by Markant.

s o r t e d wa s t e

The optional availability of the 3-compartment waste bag marks the start of efficient and ongoing sorting of waste directly in the workstation. Old

paper can be separated from general and chemical waste (batteries, ink cartridges, etc). The waste containers can be withdrawn and neatly hidden

from view through the cabinet door. These containers are lockable and removable and are therefore easy to clean.

Cabling leading to the workstation takes place on several levels. Cabling in office

situations is usually led from walls or plinth ducts. The drawback of this method is that

workstations must always be located alongside walls or widow frames.

In the case of Scenarios, cabling can be installed on three levels, namely

II. from the computer base into “cabinets” or “cubes”

III. from the wall into integral cable channels under the workstations

Scenarios has been designed on the basis of the Markant System Architecture (MSA).

Its modular construction, with replaceable components makes possible any desired

combination of worktops, conference tops and bench installations. Due to the loose

components, structure and to the use of mono materials, parts can be re-used in new

configurations or simply recycled. With Markant Life Recycle Service, we ensure that at

the end of their working life,

workstations can be re-used according to an ongoing scenario. Due to integrated

electrification, it is possible to decentralise the electrical supply so as to save electricity.

Markant will advise which solution fits the given circumstances best. Beauty and design
