Careless drivers have become a leading cause of death for public safety officers.


Law enforcers routinely experience a

narrow margin of error when working along the roadway.


It is a growing source of stress in an already stressful profession.


There are things you can do that will make a difference.



RULES OF THE ROAD:READ. FOLLOW. PASS ALONG.


The generation before us managed to drive from point A to Point B without calling, texting or uploading pictures to Flickr, so can we!1. Don't use mobile devices while driving. Period.


2. Don't answer the phone while driving.

Playing the "what if it's an emergency call" game is a high-speed way to become an emergency.



3. If you call someone who tells you they are driving, ask them to call you back.

Then quickly end the call by saying....

“Call me later. Drive Carefully.”



4. Parents, have a serious conversation with your teenage drivers

The generation that grew up typing with two thumbs are members of the most distracted and unskilled driving demographic on the road.

Provide young drivers guidance....and that means responsible role models.


5. Finally, decide to drive! Multi-task at the office.

Arrive alive!
