Tuesday, September 19 th - AP 1/ gr1&2 Pour parler des occupations et des métiers des gens, on utilise le présent simple qui décrit les habitudes et les caractéristiques des personnes dont on parle. For example: estate agent: I sell houses and apartments. I show people property they can visit. I don't build houses. Au présent simple, seule la troisième personne du singulier prend un “s” à la fin de la base verbale. A la forme négative, on utilise l'auxiliaire “do” à la forme négative: don't/ ou doesn't pour la 3e personne du singulier. A la forme interrogative, on inverse sujet et auxiliaire: Do you sell houses?/ Does she sell houses? Tuesday, October 3 rd - AP 2- SALLY Sally is a waitress. She works in a diner. She has one customer (client) who wants a burger. The man is on the phone, he 's working . He is bossy, disagreeable, and very rude and arrogant. He is wearing a suit and a tie. He is impatient and wants his burger quickly. Sally wants the cook to prepare the burger, but he doesn't wan t to do it because he 's on a break. Sally has to cook. She 's tired. A new customer arrives . He empties his pocket and takes out two dollars. He asks for a grilled cheese sandwich but he changes his mind because he wants to leave a tip. He orders a muffin. When Sally brings the 1st customer his burger, he complains because the steak is burnt. He is angry and wants another one.
