Collection Description
The Bronxville History Center holds a small collection of artifacts most of which

art by Bronxville artists or about Bronxville subjects; three samplers made by members
of the Alexander Masterton family (1832-1855); four knives made by J. Ward & Co. (c.
1860s and later); two electrical control devices made by the Ward Leonard Electric
Company (c. 1900-1910) several Bronxville merchant give-away items; three flags, a
corporate seal, and a few other items from the records of the Leonard Morange Post 464,
American Legion; ten items from the Hotel Gramatan—a banner, tablecloth, blanket,
carpet swatch, ash trays, a knife, spoon, directional sign, and Japanese lantern; three
Gramatan Springs bottles; five Village of Bronxville commemorative items; five hats—
three belonging to a Bronxville man killed in Vietnam, one possibly owned by the Kraft

Dusenberry; and the historic marker regarding Chief Gramatan and the donation of
Indian land that was fixed to the Sunset Hill retaining wall from 1936 to 2019.
