Luke 17:11-19

LUKE 17:11-14“11Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"14 So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.17 So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?18 "Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?"19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."

THE LEPERS APPEALED TO GOD BY REQUESTING HIS MERCY

PRIEST TO CHECK IF THEY ARE HEALED

LEVITICUS 14:1-4 1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 "This shall be the law of the leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest.3 "And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper,4 "then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.

THE SAMARITANS WERE NOT PURE JEW.

THEY WERE A MIXTURE OF JEW AND GRECS

And he was a Samaritan.

THE JEW WILL DESPICE SAMARITANS AND HAVE NO DEALINGS WITH THEM

John4:9 “Then the woman of Samaria said to Him,

"How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.”

THE ONLY ONE WHO RESPONDED PROPERLY TO THE TOUCH OF GOD

WAS A SAMARITAN

MEN MAY DESPICE YOU BUT IF YOU ARE REPONDING PROPERLY TO GOD AND

OBEYING HIS WORDGOD WILL EXALT YOU

WHAT MEN THINK ABOUT YOU IS OF

NO IMPORTANCE AS LONG AS

GOD IS PLEASED WITH YOU

THE ONE THING THAT MATTERS IS OUR

RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

THE LORD IS CHOCKED BY

THE UNGRATEFULNESS OF MEN

ARE YOU UNGRATEFUL?

THIS IS THE END OF THE YEAR:How many people died this year?How many people lost their parents?How many men lost their husband/wives?How many people lost one member of their body?How many people lost their jobs?How many people lost their children? Their one child?How many people were diagnosed with a terrible disease?Etc….

CAN YOU SEE WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU THIS

YEAR?

YOU MUST RESPOND TO GOD BY GETTING CLOSER TO HIMYOU MUST FALL AT HIS FEET

AND WORSHIP AS GOD

And THANK GOD YOU ARE STILL ALIVE

YOU MUST RESPOND TO GOD BY GIVING HIM GLORY

YOU GIVE GLORY TO GOD WHEN YOU ACKNOWLEDGE

THAT JESUS IS GOD AND THAT HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR

YOUR SINS

THAT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE IS FROM HIM AND HIM ALONE

THE GOOD THINGS OF HIS LIFE HAS NO FAITH

WHEN THE LORD’S HEART IS SATISFIED

HE WILL MAKE YOU WELL IF YOU ARE NOT WELL

OR HE WILL MAKE YOU

BETTER IF YOU ARE WELL
