QUT’s Research Data Storage Solutions A Launchpad for Research Journeys
A Platform for Ongoing Improvements to QUT’s Research Data Management For the past year, QUT has been delivering a new, comprehensive research data service for researchers. By
understanding the characteristics of research data, and the long-term need to store this data QUT has provided an invaluable resource to researchers supporting QUT’s goal to become a research intensive university. Key to successful delivery is the focus upon the researchers and the collaboration between providers of research data management services including Information Technology Services, High Performance Computing & Research Support, and Library.

New Service Uptake: RDSS has been operating for 1 year. Uptake in data size and number of researchers started slowly but has grown quickly. Two keys drivers have been new projects, and exhaustion of traditional faculty storage.
