WORKING SCHEDULE :

The Library is open 10 hours from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday

Library is open for 7 hours. The Library remains closed on all Gazette holidays.

Lending services are available Monday to Saturday 7.30 AM to 5.30

PM. During exam period library has kept open 7.30 AM to 5.30 PM.

issues of Journals & Magazines are displayed in Reference & Periodical Section at first

Floor.

INFLIBNET. It consists of E – Journals and E-books which can be accessed by the user’s

community of the college. Through NLIST platform, users can get access to more than

3135000+ ,e-book and 6000 +e-journals using user ID and Password. User ID and

password can be collected by connecting the librarian.

*EARN AND LEARN SCHEME:

This scheme being implemented by the college enables the society and

economically disadvantaged students to earn small amount of money by working in

various college departments. They are usually absorbed in such areas of activity of the

college as library and administrative office, these scheme help students to get first-hand

experience of varied nature and to develop their personality and communication skills.

COURSES OF YCMOU FOR LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE

Since 2003-04 Study Centre of YCMOU for B.Lib & I.Sc & for M.Lib & I.Sc

courses were Started at our library with the motto to provide an opportunity to those

students who are not able to continue their education with conventional learning

mode. Intake for B.Lib & I.Sc class is 40 seats & for M.Lib & I.Sc 25 seats. Classes for

B.Lib & I.Sc & M.Lib & I.Sc were conducted at weekends only. The core courses provide

common essentials inputs covering the Library & Information Science. Former Librarian

Mr. S.B. More is working as coordinator for this study center. For the preparation of

Net/Set Paper First besides Library science students, students from other subjects from

other subjects are also benefited by these classes

SHIKSHSNMAHARSHI Dr. BAPUJI SALUNKHE SET/NET GUIDENCE CENTER FOR LIBRARY

& INFORMATION SCIENCE SUBJET:

Department of Library has started SHIKSHANMAHARSHI Dr.BAPUJI

SALUNKHE SET/NET GUIDENCE CENTRE for library & Information Science subject. This center was

inaugurated on 19/09/2010.
