Book Discussion: Last Painting of Sara de Vos by Dominic Smith
Art is such an integral part of society that at times we tend to take it for granted. Very wealthy individuals, as well as museums, pay huge sums of money for the paintings of certain artists because of their rarity and beauty; and apparently certain individuals will stop at nothing in order to have one of these paintings in their possession.
Dominic Smith, the author of The Last Painting of Sara de Vos, has very cleverly combined modern day thievery, women’s lib and love of the old masters into a page turning masterpiece. Join moderator Alice Barnet for a discussion of this fascinating work. Refreshments gener-ously provided by the Friends of the Library.
