  • Ps3 and X-box 360 is what every kid wants. They are just some of the newest video game consoles, but every console has a base right? Video game consoles started in our backyard. In Hampshire, Magnavox started the new generation of kids waiting in line for the new video games.

  • Who created the first video game console, and where was he/she at when doing so. What was the idea or basis of the video game? Were the first video game consoles compatible with TVs? How many video game consoles have been sold world wide?

  • The first generations of video games started by the Magnavox Odyssey, but Atari made video game consoles popular. The Magnavox was created in 1972 in New Hampshire, by Ralph Baer. The Odyssey was based off of the Brown Box Atari designer Harold Lee thought of making a home Pong unit. This would be a great innovation to Video Game Consoles in general. They sold the Atari through Sears.

  • Generation 2 Fair Channel F The 2 nd generation was started by Fair Channel F the first Game Console that allowed you to change the cartridges and to be able to pause the game.

  • After the video game crash of 1985 people stopped playing video games as much. But Nintendo brought the fad back and sold their system called Famicom. By 1987 they had 90% of the market Famicom, controller, games

  • The sega drive never really sold a lot in many places besides EU. By the time it came to U.S. it changed its name to Sega Genesis. Genesis could never really compete with NES who had most of the copy rights of the arcade video games.

  • Generation 5 was started into by the lower consoles but as soon as the Playstation and Super Nintendo came out the other systems almost became non existent. The Playstation uses disks for their games while Super Nintendo uses cartridges. All of generation 5 videogame consoles have a bases of 32X.

  • The major video game consoles from this generation were Ps2, Nintendo Gamecube, and Microsoft X-box. The Playstation and X- box both have a built in DVD player but Nintendo decided against adding one for their system Playstation 2 and X-box

  • The Nintendo Wii made one of the biggest innovations in their generation. This is the Wii MotionPlus its a device that connects to the Wii Remote to complete the accelerometer and Sensor Bar capabilities and enable actions to be rendered identically on the screen in real time.

  • The 2 nd video game console created by Microsoft and they are still competing with the big boys Nintendo and Playstation. The Xbox 360 is sold in us at 299. Xbox has a created their own franchised game called Halo, which draws in a lot of their players.

  • The 3 rd video game console that Sony has come out with. Their origins coming from their research with NES. The Playstation 3 was just the continuation of their outstanding systems from their first one. The Ps3 allows you to access the web for free with wi-fi and also provides updates and buyable games from Playstation Network
