Plagiarism

Plagiarism is taking the work of others and presenting them to be your own. INSERT RTO

NAME does not tolerate plagiarism. Instances of plagiarism are dealt with case by case and

the consequences can range from being required to resubmit your assessment to cancelation

of enrolment. Examples of plagiarism include:

Intentionally presenting the work of another as your own.

Copying from another student with or without their knowledge

1. Submission of assessment and signed cover sheet by learner

assessment result for this unit will be recorded and the learner will be issued with a

Statement of Attainment for multiple units or a Qualification, as applicable, upon

completion of all other required units. The Statement of Attainment for multiple units or

the Qualification will include the assessment results for all units completed.

7. If a learner has been assessed as Not Yet Competent, the learner will be required to

resubmit their work for assessment after making the necessary amendments as per the

assessors’ comments / feedback. Steps 2 to 8 will then be repeated as applicable.

Assessment Outcomes

Each part / element of the unit will be assessed against the requirements of the competency

standards for this unit. Each part of this assessment will be assessed as either Satisfactory

(S) or Not Satisfactory (NS) and a final assessment result of Competent or Not Yet Competent

Assessment Appeals

Following assessment, you will be required to acknowledge the assessment result. You can

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to contribute to the processes of

identifying work health and safety (WHS) hazards, assessing WHS risks, and developing,

implementing and evaluating risk controls according to legislative and organisational

requirements.

It applies to individuals who contribute to WHS risk management processes in their work role

in a range of industry and workplace contexts.

NOTE: The terms 'occupational health and safety' (OHS) and 'work health and safety' (WHS)

are equivalent and generally either can be used in the workplace. In jurisdictions where the

Model WHS Legislation has not been implemented RTOs are advised to contextualise the unit

of competency by referring to the existing State/Territory OHS legislative requirements.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time

of publication.

3.3 Contribute to applying selected techniques, tools and processes

Assessment Task. 3.3

For the four examples of hazards given in Assessment Tasks 3.1 and 3.2, use the selected

technique, tool or process identified in Assessment Task 3.2 to identify these hazards in your

workplace.

You must provide evidence to demonstrate that you have used the selected technique, tool or

process to identify the hazard. This can include but is not limited to:

Scans or screen shots of sections of WHS Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice,

Standards, Guidance Material and other information issued by WHS regulators

Scans or screen shots workplace policies, procedures, processes and systems, including

hazard reporting systems and safe work method statements

Scans or screen shots of audit reports

Scans or screen shots compensation claim information

Scans or screen shots of minutes of consultation with individuals and parties

Scans or screen shots of incident and investigation reports

Scans or screen shots of safety data sheets (SDS) and registers of hazardous chemicals
